Rae pov

"I'm gonna miss you so much, rae, Luffy!" Makino cried while giving me and Luffy a tight hug. I smile and hug her back. "We will miss you too, makino." I told her with a sweet tone.

We let go of each other and luffy ran towards our little boat. "Come on, rae! It's time to leave already!" He yelled at me, impatiently.

"Coming, Luffy!" I yelled back. But before I can get too far, makino pulled my arm to stop me. "Huh?" I turn around to see her hold something in her other hand.

It was a beautiful katana. The case was marble with a golden dragon that had red eyes. The hilt was white and gold. "Wow" I mumbled in amazement.

"Here, it's for you. You can't defend yourself with just wooden sticks!" She laughed, handing me the katana. I looked at it, scanning every inch of it. It was beautiful.

"I love it so much, thank you makino!" I told her, looking up with a smile on my face. " No problem, rae" she replied, giving me a smile of her own.

"Hurry up, rae!" I heard Luffy complained. "Ugh, I'm coming!" I shouted back really quick. "Thank you again, makino. For everything you did for me and my brothers." I thanked her while bowing a little.

Before going to the boat, I gave her one more tight hug. Once I'm on the boat, I turned around to see all the towns people there. I wave a quick goodbye to them and turned back around. I took a seat, looking at the horizon we were about to explore.

Luffy said good bye to the towns people before sailing out. Having a excited smile on his face.

We will see you soon, ace! I smiled at the thought of seeing him after all these years. I hope he is having the time of his life.

We've been sailing for a while now and Luffy already ate all the food that was in the only barrel we had. "Really Luffy, that's all the food we had!" I complained.

I sigh, looking at the horizon. It's a very pretty day actually. Well it would be if there wasn't a whirlpool near us!

"Ahhhhhh! Luffy! There is a whirlpool right there!" I warned him while pointing at the nearby whirlpool. "What?" He said, turning around.

His eyes go wide as he saw how huge it was. "Ahhh ! Quickly, get in the barrel!" He yelled out. I quickly jumped in the empty barrel, Luffy jumping in right after. He quickly shuts the lid on tightly before our barrel fell into the sea.

Later

"I slept great!" A sudden yell woke me up. I open my eyes to see Luffy standing up with both of his arms in the air and a  big smile of his dorky face.

I rub my eyes to feel less sleepy then took a look around me. I see a pink hair kid, screaming for his life and three ugly looking men. Two in shock and the last on the ground, passed out.

"Who the hell are you guys?" Luffy asked the two men standing up. They both got upset and started to yell at him.

All of a sudden my stomach growled, signaling I was starving and in need of food. "Your friend will catch a cold sleeping like that" Luffy said, unaware he caused him to go to sleep. I roll my eyes and started to get up off the floor.

I then go off on my own to find any food I can. I passed by the two men that were still yelling at Luffy. They didn't really pay any attention to me as I walked by them.

I open a door and saw a hallway. I walk down said hallway and looked in each rooms looking for any signs of food. Soon I found a room full of crates. "Ah, good. I found some food!" I said, happy I can eat now. I hope it's some delicious strawberries!

I open a crate and there were apples. "aww darn, I really wanted some strawberries." I sigh in disappointment. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

"Food! Food! Food! Yes! Food!" I heard Luffy yelling out while walking into the room. "Oh, already finished with those guys?" I asked, not really expecting an answer back. I grabbed an apple and bite into it.

"Huh?! You're eating without me, rae!!" He shouted in surprise. "Well yeah, you took long and I got hungry" I simply told him while rolling my eyes. This kid. I gotta eat before he stuffs everything down that dark pit of his.

"Uh, hey my name is Coby. Your Luffy, right?" Someone said. I looked at the entrance and see the same pink haired kid from earlier. "That was incredible just now! How did you do that?" He asked Luffy.

I ignore then as I continue eating my apple in peace. These apples aren't that bad actually. I finished my apple and took another one from the crate.

"In exchange for my life, I've been forced to be a chore boy." I heard Coby said sadly. "Man, you're dumb and stupid!" Luffy insulted with a straight face. "And you're brutally honest" I told him with an eye roll.

"When did you get here?!" Coby yelled in surprise. I just ignore him. "If you don't like it, then run away" I suggested. I mean it seems reasonable.

"I-i can't! No way! No way! Just the thought of Alvida finding me frightens me and makes me weak in the knees!" He yelled out, shaking his head from side to side.

Luffy suddenly laughs at him. "Oh, you're a wimp too? Man, I hate you!!" He said. Coby turned his head away and cried silently. "Be nice, Luffy." I scolded him.

"No, it okay. He is right. If only I had the courage to drift the ocean in a barrel... There's actually something I want to do, too." He suddenly brought his head up to Luffy. "Umm.. what compelled you to set out into the sea, Luffy?" Coby asked him.

Luffy gave him a big smile and simply said. " I'm gonna be the king of the pirates!" Coby's face quickly changed into a complete shocked look. "K-k-king of the pirates!" He yelled out.

"Yup" Luffy simply replied, unfazed about his reaction. "Are you serious?!" Coby asked, still in complete shock. I finished my apple and started to wonder when I can take nap. Well first we need to get our own boat again. Our boat was definitely destroyed in that whirlpool.

"It's not about whether I can or not. I'm not gonna do this because I want to" Luffy said, holding his hat Infront of him. "I e decided to be the king of the pirates, so I'd I die fighting for that, that's fine with me!" Luffy said with a look in his eyes.

I told him not to talk like that. " You're not gonna die on my watch, Luffy." I told him with a serious face. I don't want my only baby brother dying on me. "Okay" he simply said. He then started walking towards the door that leads back to the hallway.

"Now then! My belly's full, guess I'll go get us a boat, rae!" He said. I better go with him or else. "I'm coming with you, making sure you don't do something stupid." I told him, following him to the door.

"I wonder if they'll give us one if I ask." Luffy question. "They are pirates so most likely not" I told him. His stupidity never shocks me now. "D-do you think I can be a marine? Catching bad guys is my dream! It's been my dream ever since I was little! Do you think I can do it?!" Coby shouted out of nowhere.

I look back and see tears threatening to spill out of his eyes. "How should I know?" Luffy asked. "No! I'll do it! If I'm gonna be a chore boy for the rest of my life then I'll break out of here and catch Alvida myself!" He shouted with determination.

All of a sudden the ceiling came crashing down. There was a loud boom before tons of dust filled the air.
