Chapter 07 - The cat is almost out of the bag

"Sean, stop playing!"
I turned my head the other way and shoved Sean into the shoulders, trying to get him off of me. "I'm not kidding. Faster, tell me. I'm waiting," Sean put his ear close to my mouth, waiting for the answer.
Fine! I smiled and blew into his ear.
"Eh!!!" He startled and grabbed both my wrists to pull my hands to his chest. "Why did you do that!" He said.
He looked angry as I continued to smile at him.
"You started first."
"Don't do this to anyone else. Not even Yok and Gram. Do you understand?"
"Why? I don't think it's a big deal or anything weird."
"I said no and no. Be obedient, will you? Otherwise I'll make you my wife."
I'm still grinning at him from ear to ear. He let go of my hands and went back to sit on the floor. I'm going to treat all the sweet things he's said to me as a joke, because I know he's not serious.
Sean looked a little unhappy with my response, "What's there to smile about?" "What can I do but smile? I'm smiling because you're cute," I used my hand to pinch his chin and shifted his face left and right.
I'm surprised he allowed me to do this without protest. He just looked at me with a slight smile.
I let go of his chin, "Why are you smiling then?" "You should..." He paused. I repeated, "Should I?"
"You should have come into my life sooner."
I dont know how to respond, as I don't know what he's referring to.
"What do you mean?" I asked. Sean didn't respond, just started drawing on the back of my hand with his finger. I'm looking at my hand so I know it's drawing a heart.
I laughed and let him continue to do whatever he was doing. He looked happy as he continually drew the heart. I can't help but think...
It will be good if he can reconcile with Black. I don't think Sean is a bad person. I wonder what happened that made Black so angry with him.
the next day
After we leave school, I'm ready to visit my brother in the hospital. I told the rest I have private business to attend to once we're out of the gate. As the school parking lot is full today, they parked the bikes outside the school.
I decided to tell them the truth instead of lying. Even though I'm telling them the truth, Gram still isn't willing to let me slip: "What's so important about it? Why can't you say it?"
"It's private."
Gram said, each word like a knife stabbing me, "Oh? So now you've got secrets you can't tell us?"
"Everyone needs to have some alone time too..." I told the truth.
Yok asked, "Do you need me to send you there?" I shook my head, "It's okay, I'll go there alone."
Yok nodded, as if indicating he understood. I took one look at Sean, he doesn't seem to mind and has no intention of asking anything.
Gram pressed, "Sean, aren't you going to say anything?" Sean looked at him doubtfully, "What's there to say?"
"Whatever also works, so we can know you're with us. Our brother here is having a secret..."
