(A/N: new cover! do you like the green? and kendall on the front? thought so.)

"Y-You're gay?"

Kendall honestly didn't think he'd ever whipped around so fast in his life.

Standing there in his kitchen, stood his best friend.

"Nick? Wh-What are you doing here?"

"I was hoping to catch you after your date and ask how it went. B-But now I think I'm gonna leave." He scurried to the front door, sliding on his shoes.

"Wait! Nick, I-"

"No. I can't- Just no, Kendall. Give me time, dude. I just-" He shook his head after that.

"Nick!" But he'd already shut the door.

"God damn it!"

"He's been holed up in his room for days, Rea. What are we going to do?"

"I don't know. But it sure as hell isn't gonna be letting him stay like that."

"Wait, what about Denton? He's been acting weird, too." Destiny gasps.

"What if they had a fight?"

"About what?" Reagan laughs. "We all know Kendall isn't interested in anyone right now, and I know for a fact he doesn't really care if I go out with Denton unless he hurts me. Which he won't, because I can beat the shit out of him myself."

"True." Destiny sighs.

"I wonder what's wrong with him."

********

Three days.

Kendall has been in his apartment for three days, doing nothing but binge-watching reruns of Home Improvement.

He hasn't even laughed. Not once.

He's terrified that Nick now has knowledge that would be devastating for him and anything in the future.

He knew that he was probably gay, but that doesn't mean he accepted it. He wasn't repulsed by the thought of being with another man, just shocked it would be him. Kendall Bradford. Gay.

Being gay and in a huge college full of football jocks will not bode well for him. Especially if he was interested in the quarterback!

"You are not gay. You are not gay. You are not gay." He repeated this hundreds of times to his damned reflection.

Although his supposed "best friend" knew what he had discovered, he felt more pain than relief. He needed to tell someone he knew would accept him.

"Mom? Hey, It's Kendall."

"Oh, hi honey! How are you?"

"I'm not good, Mom. Can I come over quick? I have to tell you something."

"Sure, baby. I'll be waiting. Don't rush, take a deep breath. I love you."

"Love you too, Mom. See you in ten."

"See you soon."

He left his apartment for the first time in three days feeling worse than he did before.

"Why? What did I do?" He sighs in his car.

"Okay, telling my Mom I'm gay. Not a big deal, right? I know she's not homophobic. Neither is Dad. You got this. Okay."

"Hey, Mom." He greeted her when she opened the door.

She brought her arms around his neck and planted a motherly kiss on his forehead.
