(A/N: there will be some swearing in this chapter. it's really long, and really surprising!)

From: Mom

Don't let him get away, honey! Make me proud! (:

Kendall rolled his eyes at his Mom's text.

To: Mom

Mom, I'm gonna need some time to let this sink in. Give me a break!

He smiled at her response.

From: Mom

Fine, but don't come crying to me when you lose your chance and Reagan uses her kickass charm on him.

He replied with a simple "Yeah, yeah. Okay, Mom." and pocketed his phone.

He was currently waiting for Destiny to arrive at his apartment so he could apologize.

Words couldn't explain how wrecked he still was about Nick. That was not how he wanted Nick to find out. He wanted to tell Nick when he was ready, calm and gentle. Not harsh and unexpected.

"Ken Doll? Are you okay, honey?"

"Hey, D."

"Ken Doll! You had Rea and I worried sick! Come here!" She wrapped him in the tightest hug he'd ever received.

"I wanted to apologize-"

"Shush. Now what's wrong?"

He sighs.

"Look, Destiny-"

"Tell me right this instant or so help me God-"

"Okay! Yeesh, you sound like Reagan." He mutters.

Destiny smirked.

"Now, what happened, honey?"

"It's big, and I don't think I'm ready to tell you."

"C'mon, Kendall. We may have only met a couple weeks ago, but I know that your friends trust me. I trust you guys, too. Maybe not Nick, but you and Rea? I'd trust you guys with my life." She smiled at him. The truth to her words was startling.

"You're right. I do trust you, D. I just don't know how you're going to take this..."

"Out with it."

"Okay, here goes."

Kendall explains everything from the day of the date, to talking with his parents, and finally, after some deep breaths, that Nick heard him in his apartment after he fled the restaurant.

Destiny's face hadn't changed once. Not one. Single. Time.

"D? Say something. Slap me for thinking I like your brother. Say I should burn in hell. Anything."

"Nick? He's a fucking idiot. He should burn in hell."

Kendall stares at her. Has she gone mad?

"What?"

"You've known Nick forever, correct?"

He nods.

"Then why the fuck didn't he accept you? Or give you the chance to explain? You're still the same Kendall. You've always liked guys, you were just never aware before."

And despite himself, Kendall felt his eyes water.

"Oh, honey." Destiny pulls him to her, and rubs his back.

"We need to tell Rea, you know."

He just nods.

"She's gonna say the same thing as me. Nick is in the wrong, baby. Not you."
