Chapter 24

James POV:

My Hands are actually sweating, hindi ko alam kung nagustuhan nya ba o hindi dahil pare-pareho naman ang expression nya. I looked at Ji behind her but the kid just gave me a thumbs-up. Hooo! Okay James breathe, baka naman nagustuhan nya ayaw nya lang ipakita..

"Para saan ito Sagara?" walang emosyon parin na ani nito ngunit may bahid ng pagkalito. What should I tell her? I mean if I tell her it's my way of saying sorry maybe she'll find it too much for a sorry.

"Hey you okay? Hindi mo kailangan sagutin kung ayaw mo. I'd still appreciate all this since my son helped" she said still on her normal face.. Damn paano ko ba malalaman kung nagustuhan niya ba o hindi? Paano kung na-aawkardan na pala sya?

"Earth to James? Hello? you still there?" I flinched when I felt her hand on my shoulder. I looked at her and finally found a new expression. She looks worried though.

"Ah hehe gutom ka na ba? May—May ano — May inihanda kami ni Ji dun sa table. Shall we?" Fuck why am I even stuttering?! This looks so uncool. I guided her to the blanket, kasunod naman namin si Ji sa gilid.

Nang makaupo na kami ay isinearve na ni Kyle ang pagkain. Nginisian pa nga ako nito with matching taas baba pa ng kilay. Tsk Mamaya ka sakin Olivar! I glanced at the woman in front of me, she looks happy so maybe we succeeded on our main goal. And that makes me happy too.

"Did you like the food mom? Tito James and I cooked that earlier" nagyayabang na sabi ni Ji. And yup kami rin ang nagluto ng pagkain kanina bago namin siya sunduin. Dra. Muego just smiled at her son then ruffled his hair out of adoration.

NANG matapos kumain ay niyaya ko si Dra. Muego na maglakad lakad muna.

"So sasabihin mo na ba sakin kung para saan ang lahat ng ito?" ani nito ng hindi nakatingin sa akin.

"I uh well I'm sorry for what happened earlier. Hindi ko alam na darating si Nadine at gagawa ng eksena sa mismong Medical Misson ninyo"

"Wait, you did ALL this, just because you felt responsible of what happened earlier?"

"Well uh yes. I know it's kinda—"

"Too much?"

"Yeah"

I looked at her to see her disappointed face but instead I saw her smile as she put her hands on my head like she's patting me.

"Thank you. For all of this, I appreciate it. Everything was beautiful" kusang nag porma ng ngiti ang mga labi ko nang marinig ko iyon. She liked it. She really like it! And here I thought she'll find me wierd HAHAHAHA

"So uh I saw — I saw what happened on the car park. I mean I didn't ment to pry I'm sorry. But are you guys okay? Nakasira ba ako sa relasyon ninyo?" I looked at her in awe. Pinoproblema niya ba yon kanina pa kaya bigla syang umalis?

"Hindi mo kailangan humingi ng tawad Dra. Mueg—"

"Call me Lucina." She said as she gave me a breathtaking smile. My heart almost stopped because of that and I didn't even know why.

"Erm Uh Lucina"

"Perfect. Call me Lucina from now on. We're friends right?"

"Ha? Ah oo naman! Magkaibigan tayo" hindi ko alam kung bakit parang may bumara sa lalamunan ko habang sinasabi ko iyon. I mean it's good right? She's considering me as her friend. Yeah Just her friend. Teka! Eh ano pa bang gusto ko?! Bakit ako nalulungkot na magkaibigan lang kami?!
