Yeah, I know. Little dark, but hey.]Donatello
Bad, bad, bad idea! For a genius, you sure are a moron, Donnie! I mentally battered myself for even thinking of making a move. He'd hate me for the rest of my life, and I could never live with myself if any of my brothers hated me. I slunk against the door to my room, wiping off my sweat-and grease-covered face with a shop rag. With a huff, I decided to just forget about it. Or, rather, force it out of my head.
See, my brothers think that I spend all my time in my lab because I'm always experimenting, trying to find the retro-mutagen formula. In reality, I'm avoiding my brother in blue. He hasn't done anything wrong, quite the opposite, actually. He's too adorable for his own good, he's sweet and kind, I just want to hold him close and--
See! I did it again! Bad, Bad! I face-palmed and sat my head in my knees. My stomach made itself known by making a sudden happy whale noise, and I sighed. I'll have to leave the room sometime. With a quick peek out my door, I quietly walked into the kitchen, looking in the fridge for a few slices of pizza, or maybe some leftover casserole from yesterday. I found my objective, grabbing a piece of pizza and taking a bite, about to close the fridge. I stood halfway up, thinking I had gone unseen, when I heard someone speak.
"Hey, Donnie!" Shit. Of course it was EXACTLY who I didn't want to hear.
Double, triple, mother flipping shit.
"O-oh, h-h-hey, Leo!" I said, gulping down the bite of pizza I had taken. Leo walked towards me, a soft smile on his face. Curse that adorable grin!
"Are you okay?" He asked, referring to my stutter.
"Yeah, I'm fine, fantastic." I said, trying to weave around him. He threw an arm in front of me, and my face went thermonuclear.
"Where are you going?" He asked quietly in my 'ear', his lips brushing against the side of my head. I shivered softly but stood upright.
"To go fix the All-Terrain buggies. The catch on one of them is broken, I need to--"
"No. You're going to come train for a little while." He said, pushing me back a little.
"Training doesn't start again until f--"
"No, it doesn't. But, I wanted to spend a little time with my younger brother. Donnie, you never come out of the lab or your room, and when you do, it's not for long, and you avoid everyone. Me, specifically." He said, pushing me into the dojo. His head hung low, and I could hear the dejection in his voice. "Did...did I do something wrong?" His eyes were brimming with tears, and I couldn't help it. I wrapped my arms around him tightly, burying my face in his shoulder.
"No...Leo, you haven't done anything wrong. If anyone has, it's me. I'm an idiot who can't keep his thoughts in check." I murmured softly, barely audible. He stiffened slightly at the words, pushing me back to see.
"What do you mean, Donnie?" He said apprehensively. Instantly I stiffened, pulling back from arm's reach.
"N-nothing!" I cried, a nervous smile on my lips. I ducked under his arm and tried to back out of the dojo when I felt a hand grab my wrist. Leo pulled me hard against him, looking up into my eyes with his beautiful chocolate ones.
"Donatello, don't play games with me." He muttered, his voice hard as steel, but still soft and worrying. "What did you mean." I sighed and hung my head, looking pointedly away from him.
"I....I love you..." I murmured under my breath, not even audible. He blinked for a moment and looked up at me, a pleading in his face.
"What did you say?" He repeated quietly.
"I said that I loved you, Leo." I murmured, only a little louder. I expected a slap. I expected a scream. I expected a disgusted look. But, no. What I got was a rough, wet, beautiful kiss. He didn't move back or hesitate, and neither did I. I cupped the back of his neck and bent down a little bit, kissing him back and pouring every bit of love into it. We pulled away for breath a few moments later, panting softly. His chocolate brown eyes were soft, one hand still on my wrist, the other on my cheek.
"I love you too, Don." He murmured quietly. A huge smile crossed my face and I had to do it. I had to. But, I did warn him.
"You know I have to do the dance." I said, looking at him for a moment before he chuckled and nodded.
"It wouldn't be you if you didn't do the dance." He waved a hand in front of me and I smiled even wider before springing into my 'Bow-Chicka-Wow-Wow' dance, listening to the hearty sound of Leo's laugh behind me. When I was done, I wrapped my arms around Leo's shoulders, cuddling him close to me.
"Mine." I murmured in a childlike voice, a grin plastered on his face.
"Mine." He echoed, nuzzling into my neck.
I have never been happier.
