I paced back and forth in the lodge room that the four of us ended up sharing. I still couldn't believe that I had actually done that.
"What you did back there was pretty dope. No wonder I like you" Jake said, breaking the silence.
"Wait. Hold on. What did you just say?" Joshua questioned.
"What you did back there was pretty dope," Jake replied eyeing Joshua cautiously.
"No, after that."
"Oh, that I like her."
"Yeah, that. Dude, we've been friends for so long and you never even thought to tell me this! Come on," Joshua threw his hands up in frustration.
"Look I'm sorry. I was just trying to sort out my feelings. And at least you know now," Jake awkwardly smiled at Joshua while shrugging his shoulders. Joshua went to tackle Jake down but was stopped by Joy, who now stood in front of the two.
"Guys, this isn't the time to be fighting. Judith is probably beyond vexed by Eliza right now. If anything, we need to make sure that she doesn't try to harm Eliza or anyone of us. And for now, Joshua, you'll be bunking with Jake until you both have made up. Come on Eliza, let's go."
I watched the two boys stare at us with wide eyes as I got dragged out by Joy. Joshua was upset that his girlfriend was mad at him and Jake was upset because I wasn't going to bunk with him. The two boys looked at each other and sighed.
"I'm sorry I almost hit you," Joshua was the first to apologize.
"I'm sorry too. For not letting you know that I like Eliza," Jake paused before looking to Joshua, "Hold on. I have an idea." Joshua skeptically looked towards Jake.
"Trust me. This will end in a win-win situation. I'll help you get on good terms with Joy if you help me with Eliza."
"Sounds like a plan."
