"Nanny Esther I-

The sight before stops me in my tracks, the words getting stuck in my mouth.

Nanny Esther is tangled all up in my dad, as they make out. He looks like he is devouring her without a care in the world, his both arms caging her in, while her hands wrap around his neck, roam in his hair, everywhere.

The sight is nice as well as disgusting. I never wanted to see how my dad looked or acted in his... aroused state.

"You guys may want to get a room?" I speak up, the sound of my voice breaking both of them apart like lightning.

"How long?" I ask, unable to keep the smile off my face because that didn't look like today was the first time.

"Honey, I promise, we were planning to tell you" Dad says, his arm wrapping around Nanny Esther's waist, subconsciously.

Cute.

"And then what happened?" I ask, looking between the both of them

"Oh God, what have we done?" Nanny Esther mutters, and I decide I've had enough fun screwing around with them.

"Look, if this is what the both of you want, then I'm happy for you. I love Nanny Esther as though she was my own mother. Which she actually kinda is" I chuckle

"Oh dear" she coos, wrapping her arms around me.

I wrap my hand around her shoulder before turning to dad, looking a little more serious, "Even though this is great, you are still married to Hannah, Dad, and I won't advise you to go behind her back no matter how bad she is. You decided to marry her. You made your own bed, and you have to lie in it"

"I know. That's why I suppressed what I felt for Esther for so long, but then I found out that Hannah tried to steal from me. Apparently, she has been cheating on me with some lover of hers, and she tried to get a huge amount of money from my bank account so they can escape together. The bank called me the moment she arrived there."

"There's no surprise there" I snort

I always knew she was a snake

"So my annulment of marriage with her is in progress. We are no more tied together" he says, before walking towards us "Esther has always been part of the family, but when this whole thing is over, she and I are going to get married, and her place here is going to be-

"Official" I finish off for him, and he nods

"I'm happy for you both. Really"

I always saw it. The lingering touches, the stares they held for too long, how often Dad found himself in the kitchen and Nanny Esther's wing with the helpers when he was in the house.

I never really thought much of it to this point though, but I'm still happy for them.

"I'm off to get my wedding dress," I say in a sing-song voice

"Where?" Nanny Esther asks

"At Bridal De La Flores"

"That's the most expensive bridal wear boutique in the whole country"

"That's pretty much why Sebastian's paying" I laugh

"You want to come with me?" I ask her

"I would give anything to help you choose your gown"

"Great. I'll just have to pick Andrea up from the airport before we get there"

"She's in the country?"

"Yes!" I squeal, so eager to see my best friend "And Patrick too, although he will be arriving later in the day"

"I'm glad you are happy and everything worked out for you my love," Dad says, kissing me on the forehead.

"Thank you, Dad. See you later" I kiss his cheek, before leaving the house with Nanny Esther.

"Miss Cullen, is it true you and Mr. Valetti are back together?"

"Why the sudden change of mind, after three whole years?"

"Your relationship was the highlight of our romance talk shows, until poof, nothing was there anymore"

"Do you think you can give us an account of what really happened?"

"Are you stealing your best friend's husband?"

"Or may I say, ex-bestfriend"

"Are you the one that sent Ms. Solso to jail?"

"Can you give an account of what really happened on the day of Mr. Valetti's wedding?"

"Why marry a man who dumped you three years ago?"

One by one, the reporters swam the front gate of our mansion, reeling me with questions.

"Ms. Cullen, won't you answer us? Don't you have anything to say for yourself?"

They keep talking, one overlapping the other, and I barely get to think

"She has nothing to say to any of you. This is harassment of personal space and privacy. I will suggest you all leave if you don't want me to sue you. This is not the way it should be done" Chris says, coming out of nowhere

"Let me lead you to your car" he whispers in my ears, as we push past them

"I knew this would happen, so I had someone to keep watch over your house so that I can control it the moment it did. It was the right decision"

"Does Seb know about this?"

"Not yet, but he will be furious when he does get to know that they harrassed you like this," he says "Don't think about any of this Emerald. Just go do your shopping and have a blast. Good luck!" He pecks my cheek, before closing my car door

"Are you okay honey?" Nanny Esther asks, as she as with me the whole time

"I'm fine," I say, looking out to the window, and thinking back on one of their statements

"Why marry a man who dumped you three years ago?"

"Emmyyyy!!" Andrea screams when she sees me, a few people turning to look

She runs towards me and gives me a hug, practically wrapping her legs around my waist, and her arms around my neck

"How long has it been?" I ask, laughing happily

"It has been ten thousand years since I last saw you. I've missed you so so so much Emmy. London hasn't been the same without you" she says, her London accent so thick I wonder where mine went so soon

"I reckon you have a lot of things to tell me?" I ask, chuckling

"You bet" she winks

"You might want to release me though before people start thinking we swing the other way"

"Fuck them. I'd do you any day" she plants a big sloppy kiss on my cheek

"Ewww Andrea" I laugh "Since when did you start cursing?"

"Since I had the most amazing and earth-shattering and mind-blowing sex with Patrick and ended up running out of his Penthouse suite the next morning. Literally"

"Wait, you're kidding right?"

"Why would I joke about my virginity? Which by the way, I lost to your Adonis of a male best friend"

"Wow"

"Yeah. Wow"

"Were you drunk?"

"You might investigate me if we don't leave this airport, and you were right, the stares are getting too much"

"Andrea" I whisper

"Let's go get that dresss!"

Okay then.
