THE WEDDING CHAPTER

THIRD-PERSON POV

The day had finally arrived. The day everyone had been waiting for. The hard work, the pain, the tears, the hardships, and the heartbreak that both of them had to endure, especially Emerald, had finally paid off.

Now she was looking like a queen, getting her makeup and hair done, for the big day.

"Oh my dear, you look radiant" Nanny Esther cooed, tears pricking her eyes. The little girl she cared for and took as a daughter was no more a little girl but now a full-grown woman, who was about to get married and become a wife, a mother. Oh, how time flies!

She wouldn't trade this moment for the world, but she wished she could go back to that time when little Emerald helped her bake cookies and giggled the whole way till it was done, and then she would eat and eat and eat until she could no more.

"She's glowing" Andrea commented, before the door to the hotel suite Sebastian booked for her to get ready, flew open.

Emerald hopped from her seat like a sparked car and threw herself in the arms of Aunt Rose.

"Oh my dear girl, how I have missed you. Life is truly funny isn't it, you left London to attend someone's wedding and now you are the one getting married" she said, chuckling

"Do you love him?" She asked

Emerald nodded her head vigorously, "A thousand times"

"Why is love such a sappy thing?" Georgie voiced out, a smile on her face, revealing herself and her sassy attitude

"Georgie!" Emerald squealed, pulling the girl into her arms

"Yeah Yeah, I know you have missed me"

"You are still a savage little thing aren't you?"

"The only thing about London that has changed is you," she says, laughing

"Emmy your phone's ringing," Andrea says

"Who could be disturbing the bride? Don't they all know she has to get ready?" Aunt Rose says and everyone chuckles

"Wait let me see," Emerald says, taking the phone from where she placed it on the vanity

The name, My heart, as she had saved it, popped up, clearly showing who was calling.

She was quick to pick it, and when she heard the voice of the man she loved and adored, she realized she didn't need everyone as an audience.

She held the phone away from her ear and turned to everyone, "It's Sebastian" and that was all she needed to say before they all caught on and left her to her privacy

"Hello?" Sebastian called out, not having heard the voice he craved so much to hear

"Hello, love" she responded, feeling extra affectionate today.

Sebastian smiled, the endearment touching his heart more than she knew

"How are you doing my angel?" He asked, wanting to know if she was okay

"I'm ecstatic, only a bit nervous"

"I hope you are not getting cold feet on me?" He questioned, a part of him joking and another part really serious

"I love you too much to hurt the both of us that way"

His shoulders sagged in relief

"You are the only one that I see. And you bring me a lot of joy and blessing. Thank you for giving me this chance to marry me, to make me your husband. It is the greatest treasure. You know, that I love you, with all my heart, and I can't wait to say I do, but before you walk down the aisle, I just want to let you know that you're the finest. You're everything I see, the light in my dark world, you're the brightest. My princess, my only one lover, I just want to let you know that there is no one like you, and I can never replace you, because there is not anyone else anyway, and I don't want anyone else."
