This takes place in realistic minecraft and is not at all shipping, just Syndicate friends. It does not stick strictly to the lore.

Niki had first learned about the Syndicate when she heard Technoblade wanted to talk to her. She invited him to her city and they spoke about anarchy, among other things. Techno had said he was impressed when she burned L'Mantree, and he wanted her to join the Syndicate, an underground anarchist organisation started by him and Phil. Niki declined the offer because she current had other goals different to their ideals. Later, she changed her mind and gotten in contact with Techno again.

As Niki made her way to the first meeting of the Syndicate, she was nervous. It was being held at the stronghold under the ocean near the other's bases. The other members; Technoblade, Philza and Ranboo were going to be there, and she wanted to make a good impression.

In the meeting, Philza showed them the room's features like the meeting table and the secret entrances/exits.

They talked about lots of things that could affect them, most notably the Eggpire, the threat of Snowchester as a potential government and Tommy's 'death'.

Afterwards, Phil and Techno went off to do who knows what, so Niki and Ranboo were left on their own.

'Do you want to do anything? Maybe, like, train or something? Because of the Eggpire threat and stuff? I know Techno is better at this stuff, but if we don't have time...' Niki asked shyly.

'Ummm, sure!' agreed Ranboo.

They made their way to the Syndicate's private armoury to collect weapons. Niki grabbed bows and wooden swords.

'Just the basics for now.' she said. Ranboo nodded.

They walked to the training room and placed the bows on the table; they were starting with sword fighting.

'Stand side-facing with your feet parallel, dominant foot infront, and your weight in the middle.' instructed Niki. Ranboo complied, shifting around to find a balance.

'Now raise your sword so the tip is at eye level.' she continued. He raised his weapon swiftly.

Niki also readied herself, then advanced towards him. She was trying to see how much he already knew, where his weak spots were and how to improve them. They were fighting with training swords so they couldn't do any real damage, but she still didn't want to hurt her friend.

She deftly swung at Ranboo, who panicked and teleported away. Any thoughts in his brain that Niki was all soft were expelled when she turned and lunged at him, edge of the sword catching him in the side.

Ranboo fell down but quickly got back up again. He returned to his original stance, then darted towards her, swinging his stick in a low arch, aimed at Niki's ankles.
She swiftly cartwheeled over and took the opportunity to lightly hit him across the shoulders.

Ranboo fell again, but this time did not get back up. He tried to lure Niki into a false sense of security, lying motionless on the ground, but then he teleported again. She caught on instantly, predicting where he would land.

Niki dropped low to the ground, and using his own trick against him, brought her legs round and swept his legs out form under him.

Ranboo was off-balanced and toppled to the ground. Niki flipped upright and held her sword to his neck. He put his hands up jokingly in surrender, breathing heavily

Ranboo replayed the least few minutes, silently wondering how Nikki got this good. Then he realise she was giving him advice.
'-and don't show you can teleport in the beginning, use it as a surprise.'
'Yes Captain!' he replied, mock saluting her.

Nikki rolled her eyes. 'A few more training sessions and you won't be able to lift your arms above your head. Shall we move onto archery?'

'Sure!' Ranboo agreed.

They put back the sticks, grabbed their bows and walked out of the training room and into the courtyard. There were some targets set up against one wall. Niki adjusted her quiver at her hip, reached into it, pulled out an arrow and notched on her bowstring.

'Following so far?' she asked. Ranboo nodded.

Niki placed her fingers above and below the arrow, raised her bow, and closed one eye, aiming. She released the strings so the arrow flew through the air, hitting the centre of the nearest target.

'Oh my gosh, Niki, you're so good at this!'

'Thank you, Ranboo!' She replied, blushing slightly. 'Now you try.'

He drew out an arrow, notched it, then looked at it for a minute, his brow furrowed.

'I can't remember what to do next.' He finally said.

'That's alright! Put your index finger above the notch and your middle finger below it.'
He did as she said, pulling the string back.

'Good, now close your left eye and look down the arrow shaft, try to align it with the centre as best you can. There's no breeze in this courtyard, so it should fly straight.' Niki instructed.

Ranboo followed her directions carefully, taking his time to aim. When he finally let it go, the arrow thunked into the edge of the target.

'That was great, especially for your first try!' praised Niki.

They practiced for hours; Ranboo was able to hit the centre by the end, but he claimed it was all Niki's helpful instructions.

They finally packed up at sunset when they couldn't see the targets anymore, both feeling they had accomplished things that day.
