"You there!" A trooper pointed and the group of them all looked at me."Rex, we gotta move" I warned, moving to join him quickly, glancing back over my shoulder.
"Can't talk right now. Sending you his signal. I'll be in touch." Rex ended the transmission before following after me in the streets. We had ran through the alley which lead to the next street over, more market stalls decorating the street. A glimpse of Rex's armour was seen and they began shooting at us both. "What did you do?"
"I'll explain later, run now" I told him sternly as a shot narrowly missed my head and I ducked to miss it. I gasped and looked over my shoulder to see Wolffe had been the one to fire the shot. He nodded to me and I got the hint, no words needed. "Let's go!" I called to Rex, jumping up onto the roof of a nearby building and pulling him up with the force.
"What? What has gotten into you?" He demanded answers as I looked around frantically for an escape plan.
"I'll explain everything, I promise but first we need to get to the ship." I told him urgently.
"We'll never make it, they'll have this place swarming with troopers in a matter on minutes"
"Then I guess we'll need disguises" I spotted a market stall that was selling clothes and got an idea. "Down there. I'll buy us new clothes while you watch my back from up here"
"Be careful" he warned and with that I jumped off the roof and walked to the store to by us a change of clothes that would help us hide long enough to sneak back to our ship.
I sent him a nod and made my way towards the ship, going undetected. Once I got onboard I immediately rushed to fly and pick up Rex who had been left on the roof waiting.
"You're clothes are in the back" I told him as he joined me in flying the ship to a safe hiding place.
"What was the point of buying us new clothes if you were going to fly us out of there?"
"We'll need them eventually, clone armour isn't exactly undercover" I reminded him as he shifted slightly, knowing that was what put us in the most danger.
"The bad batch are going to get Gregor. Have you figured out a plan yet?"
"Maybe" I thought. "Wolffe is definitely here and he has his own mind though we would still need to remove his chip at some point." I continued.
"What's that?" Rex narrowed his eyebrows at the flower set beside me.
"Oh, some man gave it to me while I was keeping watch" I thought back on the memory, not noticing Rex shift uncomfortably this time. "And Wolffe was there." I picked up the flower once we were safely far enough from the main city.
"You think the two are connected?" He asked with doubt until I started to twist the flower around and pull it apart.
"Of course!" I cheered as a chip had fallen from a fold in the petals. I quickly plugged it into the ship to show a hologram of Wolffe.
"General Jayko, Captain Rex, I got word of your survival through some scatter on the holonet. The clones, they were ordered to kill the Jedi, but I assume you know that already. I have a plan but will need your help to come through with it." The hologram spoke as Rex and I exchanged a glance.
"Jayko will draw out the troopers attention in Theed by igniting her lightsabers and using them, bringing the squads of troopers in her direction. While she distracts them, Rex, you will fly your ship towards the market where I will be waiting for you. Once I am on board we will return to pick up Jayko and be on our way"
"I don't like this plan" Rex crossed his arms with a pout set on his face after the message had finished.
"What if we make an adjustment?" I suggested with a glint in my eyes, Rex knowing I already had another plan in mind.
