2. Great World Mythologies

"Guys you have no idea what happened in Social class! Come here, let's sit down. Y'all are NOT ready for this." said Riya motioning them to sit down. They made a huge circle. Riya's friends listened in awe as she, Nidhi and Akul narrated the whole story.

"Wow...I-I don't to what to say" said Amitha.

"Yeah same. Are you guys serious or are you all just messing with us?" said Janavi.

"We're serious! How would we joke about such a thing? Especially when it involves so much pain." said Riya.

"Haha okay then, what are you? I mean you're certainly not human right?" 

"I don't know."

"I think she's a werewolf. But it's probably not the case. Either way, we have to figure it out." said Nidhi.

"Why don't we go to the library and do a little bit of "research" then?" said Jayanth, holding his hands in the air to form air quotes.

"Yeah actually. Let's go." said Ankitha and they all ran to the library.

"Hey! Where are you all going?" shouted the sports teacher from across the ground. "To the library! To STUDY!" shouted back Indu and they all ran before he could ask anything else.

They reached the library but didn't know what to search for, so they just started going through animal related books.

"Guys, why don't we search in the History section? Werewolves are most likely to be there anyway." suggested Zoya and they all moved to the History section. 

It had been about thirty minutes and they still hadn't found anything. Then-

"Guys! I found it! Come here fast!" shouted Keerthi. "SHHHH! No shouting in the library!" said the librarian. "Sorry!"

They all rushed to where Keerthi was standing. She was holding a huge dusty book titled - 'Great World Mythologies'. "Woah! That is one giant book." exclaimed Riya. 

"Wait watch this" said Prithvi snatching the book from Keerthi and blowing the dust off the book as they do in movies.

"Oh God dude! Stop that!" said Keerthi, coughing and sneezing. 

"Sorry lol. Thought it would look cool." apologized Prithvi. "What a weird book. Who names a book 'Great World Mythologies'? And look at these animals! Ew so ugly." said Zoya flipping through the pages of the book.

"Come on, let's sit and research."

"Why does everyone keep saying research like we're some Scientists or Historians?" said Akul. "Okay stop now. Let's see if we can find something. Pass me the book Zoya." said Riya beckoning Zoya to pass the book. She flipped through the pages of the 1500 page book and after a long time, she finally found it. 

"Oh shit. Guys! I found it! Look!" Everyone surrounded her to take a look at what she had found.

'Werewolves, Vampires and Witches.' the title read. "So there must be information on werewolves in this chapter!" said Srujan in relief of not having to wait much longer. "No shit, Sherlock." said Keerthi before they heard the bell ring. Riya decided to borrow the book home so she could read it some more. They all headed to class for lunch.

While everyone was talking and shouting to each other during lunch, Riya had her lunch whilst reading the book. She was so interested in it that she hadn't even noticed when she had finished her lunch. The book read, "Werewolves have been around since the 16th Century. They have glowing eyes, long and sharp nails and the ability to heal. They also have super strength, speed and hearing which gives them an advantage over humans and many other animals. They can also take away pain from a suffering soul."
