The two got ready, had breakfast and then Riya's mom dropped them off at school.
"Bye Riya! Have a nice day!"
"Bye mom! love you!" she said as she closed the car door. Akul smiled to himself.
They were early at school but hadn't done the previous day's homework, so they finished that until all the other students started coming.
Riya and Akul rushed to the other class to tell the others everything along with Nidhi. They narrated everything as the others listened in awe.
"Holy fuck! So, Riya is a Werewolf AND a Vampire!? That's so cool!?" said Amitha not being able to take in the fact that her friend was some supernatural creature, but before anyone could say anything else, the bell rang and they had to go back to their classes.
Riya just hoped she wouldn't go out of control and attack anyone today because she was tired and she absolutely hated everything she had done. She was starting to think Werewolves were probably better than Vampires.
It was PE and both the classes had assembled in the basketball court and were making teams. They started to play and fifteen minutes into the game, Riya felt her head spinning. She held her head and tried to steady herself but failed.
"Riya!" shouted Jayanth and ran to catch her just before she fell.
"Oh my God, Riya!" shouted Nidhi and ran from the other side of the court as everyone made their way towards her.
"Quick! Go get some water!" said Jayanth beckoning Amitha to go.
"We have to get her inside!" said Akul hurriedly.
"Okay. Help me pick her up." agreed Jayanth and they both managed to get her inside. They took her to the nursing room; also called 'The Sick Bay', which was basically an empty room with a bed, a couch, and a first-aid kit. They laid her down on the bed and made sure she was comfortable. Amitha came in with the water and sprinkled some on her face, but she didn't wake up.
"Riya? Riya!?" she said, shaking her face to get her to wake up. "Try sprinkling some more water!" said Nidhi with worry in her voice before grabbing the water bottle from Amitha and doing so herself; but it was no use.
"Someone go call a teacher!" said Akul worried after thinking about all that she had been through. Indu rushed out and returned a few minutes later with the Sports teacher and Science teacher.
"Move away everyone. Give her some space to breathe." said the Sports teacher moving everyone away from the bed.
"What happened?" asked the Science teacher.
"She just fainted in the middle of the basketball game ma'am." answered Nidhi.
"Yeah and luckily, I caught her. Otherwise she would've gotten hurt." added Jayanth. They kept trying to wake her up, but little did they know, Riya was on an adventure of her own.
Just a few moments after she had fainted, Riya found herself in what looked like a forest. Except everything was gray and white. There was fog and mist everywhere; so much that Riya could only see about ten paces ahead of her. It was silent and lifeless, yet felt happy and peaceful.
"Hello? Anyone there?" said Riya rather loudly. She was confused and was pretty sure she hadn't come here intentionally.
"Wasn't I playing basketball?" she thought to herself as she slowly made her way forward until she came across a pond which looked so much like the ground around it that she almost fell into it. It was icy-white; same as the ground. At first she thought it was frozen, but then she carefully moved her leg towards the surface of the pond- now noticing that she was barefoot. The water rippled, confirming her thought of it being an abnormal pond. She bent down to look at her reflection.
