Sen woke up from a bad dream and sighed as she laid back down. She then noticed it was still day time and all of the girls weren’t in their beds.

“Lin?” Sen called out, “Where is everybody?”

Sen slid the door open and gazed out on the balcony. She saw that the whole area was still flooded from the rain last night. She looked over to where her mom and dad were kept in the pig pin across the other side of the island.

“I sure hope mom and dad are doing alright,” Sen looked up and saw the the chimneys smoking.

“Kamaji lit the boil already? How long was I asleep?” she asked confused.

She turned and ran from the girls’ dorm room downstairs to the work area. She saw everyone in a commotion as they cooked and were serving in a hurry.

“Hey, Sen” Lin came up to her.

“Oh, Lin!” Sen said smiling.

“I was just coming to wake you up. Look,” Lin showed her a piece of a gold, “It’s real gold! There’s a new guest here who’s loaded. He’s giving gold away by the handful!”

“Who’s the guest?” Sen asked.

“Who cares, come on before Yubaba wakes up!” Lin said excitedly as she went down the stairs.

“I’m going to go look for Haku and Yuki!” Sen shouted over the loud staff.

“Ugh will you quit worrying about them. Come on, Sen, and let’s get some gold!” Lin ran off with a few other girls.

Sen left the work area and went back to the girls’ dorm room out on the balcony. Sen gazed out in the open as it was silent except the soft breeze blowing through.

“…Where are Haku and Yuki?” Sen asked herself. “I hope Haku comes soon before I forget what my parents look like. I sure hope dad hasn’t gotten too fat.” She rested her hands and head on the railing as she closed her eyes.

She then heard a long wind howling. She opened her eyes and saw something long coming. The long dragon creature squirmed in the air covered by many pieces of paper. “Haku?” Sen said. The dragon then splashed into the water and swam away from the paper bits. Haku then reached the building and sprung out of the water. He flew upwards and sent a strong wind force passed Sen as she stepped back startled.

Haku continued to fight against the papers. “Haku! Fight him!” she then noticed faint red marks on him. She gasped, “He’s hurt! Haku, this way!” She called out as the dragon flew in Sen’s direction and crashed into the dorm room. Sen let out a yelp but got back on her feet, trying to closed the sliding doors to not let the papers come in and hurt Haku more.

Once she got the doors mostly closed, the papers finally stopped and slowly went away. Sen watched them leave and then looked back at Haku. Haku slowly untangled himself from the bed sheets and Sen could see his wounds.

“Haku you’re bleeding” she said as the dragon stared at her with pain in his eyes while blood dripped from his mouth.

“You’re safe now, Haku. Everything’s going to be alright” Sen assured him, but Haku growled as he ran and flew out into the sky again, leaving blood splattered in the doors and windows.

Sen watched as Haku fly upwards toward Yubaba’s office as he ran into the building a few times. Sen looked very worried.

“I got to get there before he bleeds to death!” she said as she ran out of the girls’ dorm room.

Meanwhile all of the other workers had food ready and were honoring their rich guest, No-Face. He was huge as he trudged through the hallway and everyone bowed down. And then that was when Yuki showed up. She stared at the guest as he approached closer.
