15: A plan, I suppose?

I stretch, yawn, and prepare to go to sleep. Sapphire hops up on the bed at my feet, cuddling into the cutest little ball. I chuckle, kissing her tiny kitten forehead. "You're so cute," I whisper to her, kissing her again before laying my head on the pillow. It's always a struggle to get to sleep nowadays. Back then, I always had (B/n) to fall asleep to. He would prattle on and on about random business stuff that dad taught him. It would help me sleep so quickly. It makes me tear up just thinking about him anymore. It's been terrible without him.

Regardless of those memories, I close my eyes and try to sleep. It takes a while and a lot of adjusting to finally get to sleep. My dreams were never very eventful, nor do I ever even really remember them. This one was similar, except I was in complete darkness. It wasn't even really like I existed. I was more of an essence than a being. I floated along in the darkness searching for nothing, until a deep voice boomed throughout the nothingness, shaking my essence to its core. "Leave!" It shouted, frightening me. I began to speed my pace, faster and faster I flew. Anything to get away from that voice. "Get out of here!" The voice was just as loud as it was the last time. It felt like I was going nowhere, despite fleeing so quickly.

After a few more moments similar to that, I woke up. Sapphire was sitting on my chest purring and my phone was vibrating continuously on my side table. I smiled softly at my little Sapphy and moved her off my chest, doing my best not to wake her or frighten her. After she was situated, I grabbed my phone and checked the caller ID.

UNKNOWN CALLER
Odd. Normally I wouldn't pick up these kinds of calls simply because they're typically just spam calls, but I answered anyway. "Hello, (Y/n)-Chan!!" The voice of Honey-senpai rang in my ears. Still groggy from being just woken up, I yawn. "Uh, hey Honey, what's up? Why are you calling me so early? And don't I have your number? Whose phone are you calling from?" I was so confused. He has my number, so why not just call from his phone? "Don't worry about that, (Y/n)-senpai. I called because Kyoya wanted to discuss some stuff with you! So.. here he is!"

"No, no, no, no, wait- Aaand he's already given you the phone, huh?" I sigh, not really wanting to talk to Kyoya. He was kind of a jerk. "Indeed, he has," I could just feel him pushing up his glasses because he thinks he is so smart. "Now, I wanted to discuss tomorrow with you and what you will need to do to prepare. I assume, with your level of intelligence, that you have already deduced that the text yesterday came from one of us hosts?" Oh, his snarky comments just boil my blood.

"Yes, in fact, I have. It's not like you really tried to hide it, Mr. Smartass," I say through gritted teeth. He chuckles on the other end of the line. "Oh, Mx. (Y/n) you truly think your insults hurt me? No. Now, I'd rather not argue with you about any of this. Let's just talk about terms and preparation.

"We need to you come in something formal that isn't your regular school clothes. Preferably something that won't make other people jealous. Don't worry, we're not making you do anything you wouldn't want to. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water, and save your voice. You won't be singing or anything. Just be prepared to use your voice. Finally, I need you to bring any instrument that you have that you can bring to the school. Preferably not a piano, obviously," He ends like that and hangs up, leaving me no time to react or interject. I was pissed. Does he think he can just make me do this? He thinks that I'm going to do it? My god, he pisses me off... because he's always right.

The next day I do my usual morning routine; wake up a little earlier than my alarm due to a nightmare, brush my teeth and getting jump scared by my alarm, take a shower, and get dressed in something dumb like the school uniform. Except for today, I apparently needed to wear something "formal" that isn't my "regular school clothes." So I just slipped on my old recital outfit. It was a deep navy blue with a lighter blue floral pattern. Nothing too fancy, just something that looked nice.
