"I-I'm just insane, yeah. Insane." I stood back up and wiped my tears. I walked to the gates of the school and left. I need to find Lucy.

I continued to walk down the sidewalk, not caring that I'm skipping classes or even volleyball practice. I needed answers. I need to know what's going on inside my head. Or really, who's inside my head.

How do I fix this? I need to learn more about whatever Lucy was. I thought as I turned the corner to the public library. I took a deep breath and walked in.

"Hello there!" An older man spoke up. He looked to be in his late 70s and dressed for the part of a librarian. "Aren't you supposed to be in school?"

"O-oh, I'm here for school duties, research for the school festival!" I smiled, trying to cover my ass.

"Oh! How fun, come to the front desk if you need help with anything, okay?" I smiled and bowed as a response. Quickly, I walked to the computer and searched up "types of demons". A long list of results varying from Christian beliefs to otome video games.

Okay then, Wikipedia it is. I sighed seeing nothing liable. The classification of demons? Maybe this might help? I scanned the website seeing the basic seven demons of pride, greed, and the rest of the deadly sins. Underneath that was the selective column of Spina's classification. I clicked into each highlighted title, hoping for answers.

A cambion? What the hell is that? I read more and discovered how A cambion demon is one of which is half-human half-demon. They could also be in the form of pure demons, but would have to "graduate" from human to demon.

Lucy did mention something of a test or exam. Could this be her? I continued to research the origins of Cambions. I could only find D & D fanfics which were terribly written and a few sites on the topic. I clicked into one that looked most reliable. However, it was useless. I slouched in defeat.

Guess it's time to go old fashioned. I logged out of the computer and walked to the front desk.

"Hello again!" The old man smiled.

"Hi, I need a book about Cambions.

"Oh? How interesting?" His voice lowered and his face became serious. The mood change sent shivers down my spine. Why is he upset? Is he upset?

"W-we're doing a haunted house t-theme." I started to fidget with my hands.

"Of course you are! I just found the topic to be fascinating. Demons and such." He smiled, but his eyes told me a different story. I just chuckled and tried smiling.

"Y-yeah, my class president was very specific. You k-know how it is!"

"Ah! Yes, of course, my boss is similar in the way of specifics." He got up from his chair and used a cane to help him walk to a small section near the back of the library.

"These are all the research books on angels and demons. You look like a bright student," He paused to look at me, "you'll find it here." His voice shilled through my ears, making my hands shake.

"T-thank y-you!" I laughed nervously as he walked away rather quickly. I let out a breath of air I didn't know I was holding.

What the hell was that about? I shook away the scary thoughts and started to look through the old and withered books.

So this side is about angels, and this one about demons, okay then smart division. I thought as I turned to the demon's side. I randomly took a book out and flipped it to the content page. A pungent smell reached my nose and made me cringe. The strong smell of rotting eggs and metal made me slam the book shut.

That was so disgusting what the fuck?! I put the book back on the shelf and reached for another one. The cover read "The Analysis of Lower Demons and Demon Spawn." The age of the book showed as the red leather was peeling from the sides. I opened it and had the same smelly experience.

What are these books?! Gross! I turned to the angels section to take a break. I opened up another book at my eye level and was welcomed with a warm rose scent. I couldn't put the book down, the smell was so calming. The sweet roses then slowly turned into a tender lavender smell. I felt my eyes droop as the luscious smells made me lose balance.

No, you need to wake up! I shut the book and catch my breath. I set the book back in its place, now holding onto the shelf for stability. Starting to lose my footing I knocked down another book, the pages flipped open on the floor, releasing its sweet flower scent once more. However, this time I couldn't fight it.

I dropped down to my knees, still trying to get hold of the shelf. I felt my heart rate slow as my breath became barely noticeable. My eyes involuntarily shut as I felt my body fall to the ground.

Please don't take me back...
