video game lovers 2.0 ➪ sunghoon

I threw my phone on my bed as I made my way to the pc. I started the game I wanted to play and put on my headphones. Once I was in the round my favorite player joined me.

Hiocoen02: I'll win
LeeShishywon2: bet

I smiled as I read his message that just popped up. I can't let him win. Not this time.
He was always with me in my games yet we never knew each other's name or something else. I'm the long name girl while he is the dog boy since he always needs to end the games 'cause his dog needs to go on a walk.
I started giving my best and hoped for him to lose. My eyes were focused on the screen that I didn't even notice my brother.

"What are you playing?" I got startled from his voice that suddenly appeared next to me. The next second my headphones were gone. "Heeseung! Are you dumb! I was in a game!" I pouted as I saw myslef lose. "Oh, sorry." - "Why are you even here?" - "Oh nothing. I felt like annoying you." - "You-" - "Mission completed." - "Dumbass. Go make me ramen now." - "I should say that to you." Heeseung said giving me back my headphones. "You made me lose. So go now." - "Okay, one pack for me." I saw him going through my door as he came back seconds later. "by the way, are you free on Sunday? I wanted to go to the mall." - "I already have plans." - "Huh?! With who." - "A boy from my school." - "Oh. Okay." He smiled annoyingly and left again. "I still want ramen!"

I turned off my pc as I went to the kitchen where Heeseung was singing and making ramen. After eating his ramen, I went to my room but fell asleep very fast.

Saturday wasn't really special just the usual shit and now I was sitting on my chair and was waiting for Kangyu to finish my make up. "This is so ridiculous." - "Where are you both going anyway?" - "To that park. He told me there are some fun rides we could try. I don't know. And Jaeyun told him I want to go there." - "Ah, stay still." - "Wha-" - "Shush." I shutted my mouth as she continued.

Minutes later I was finished and got forced to wear a dress. Jaeyun joined us too later and was now laying on my bed while I was looking at my phone and Kangyu doing her make up. "Why are you even getting dressed?" - "Jaeyun and I have a date?" - "You literally spend 24 hours together." - "So? We just want to go out." - "Fine, whatever. I have to leave now. Make sure to lock the door once you leave." - "Sure, don't worry." Jaeyun answered as I left my room and made my way to the bus stop.

Not any time later I arrived the park. I must admit, I don't really like rollercoasters or amusement parks. But for my friends I'm going there. It's just one day, a few hours. It won't hurt that much.

I waited at the entrance until I saw the tall boy looking for me. To not make a mess I didn't say anything and just went to him. "Sunghoon!" - "Oh, you're here." He flashed a smile as he looked at the crowd. "Hm, it's really full here." He mumbled as he went to get tickets. I'll just follow him. "Can I be honest?" He stopped in his steps. "I don't really like parks like that. They're so crowded and kids everywhere it's annoying." I looked around avoiding his eyes. "Actually," he made me look at him "same." He laughed as he scratched his neck. What a relief.
"So, what should we do now?" I asked looking at him again. "First let's get out of this crowd." He made me turn and walked behind me as he gently pushed me.

"Hm, what are your hobbies?" We sat down on a bench a little bit far away from the park. "I don't know? I like to play video games but I bet you don't." - "Why? Because I'm a girl?" - "Yeah," dead serious he looked at me making me wonder why I'm still here. "Why don't we go to a dog cafe?" - "No. I'm more a cat person." He gasped as he looked at me. "What? It's true. They don't lick your face all the time." - "Actually, I have a dog. Now I'm offended." - "See, another reason to not like you," I got up as he looked confused at me. "Excuse me? Everyone likes me." - "And that makes you annoying," he scoffed as I walked away. "Where are you going?" - "To an internet cafe. I'll beat you." He laughed at my words as he caught up with my steps, "You wish?"

"Yes, thank you." I thanked the cashier as looked for two seats. As we found them I opened the game. "Whats your name?" - "Wait, just do it this way." I slightly pushed him as I clicked on his screen trying to connect with my account. No way. What is his name doing here? Don't tell me-
"Sunghoon, what's your name?" - "You just said it." - "No you dumbass. I mean in the game." I glared at him not believing what I saw on the screen. "Hiocoen02. Why?" - "No way?! You're the dog boy?!" - "What are you tal- HOW DO YOU KNOW?!" - "You're really dumb." I slided back to my pc and looked at him as he looked at the computer and back to me. This went on for 10 minutes until he realized. "So you're long name girl?! Wha- how- this makes no sense." - "You think it does for me?"
We were quiet for the next few minutes just looking at each other. I wonder what he's thinking.
I wanted to speak again but my phone cut me off even before I could speak.

"Oh, it's Kangyu." I heard her screaming my name. "Where are you?!" - "At the internet Cafe. Why?" I heard a sigh from her. Sunghoon came closer to me just to listen to the call. "I thought you're at the park?! Are you serious?! Are you with Sunghoon?"
"Hold on. Give the phone to yun."
"Hey, Shiwon."
"Don't lie, were you both gonna spy on us?" I asked as Sunghoon smirked and leaned back again. I looked at him as I waited for Jaeyuns answer. "What? No? Why would we? We just came here to check out the rides."
"You've always been a bad liar. See y'all at the internet cafe." I hung up and looked at Sunghoon again.

"Oof," I then started the conversation again after some time "I lowkey had a crush on him." I mumbled tilting my head. The same boy I've been playing with all the time? Him? Really? Why him? "You what!?" - "Nothing." We stared at each other again until Kangyu and her boyfriend came. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"
"You'll explain." Sunghoon decided "You-" I sighed smiling at Kangyu

It was hard to explain but I could somehow explain it in eclipses and Sunghoon cutting me off all the time.

"So you were video game lovers?" - "Well I liked the boy I was playing with." - "And I liked long name girl." - "So you're dating?" My eyes widened at this question. "Yes, we're dating." Sunghoon announced putting his arm around me. "Since when? Mister dog boy?" He looked at me breaking our distance, "Since now." I'm gonna lie if I say I didn't feel some sort of thing. "Yey!" Kangyu clapped excited. "Let's go eat ice cream." Sunghoon got up. "No." - "It's on me." - "forget my no. Dog boy you'll be broke by the end of this day." I laughed as I got up too.

So since that day, Sunghoon and I started dating? I never agreed to it but he proudly showed me off. I told him to not do that but still he does that. And every now and then we play video games with Kangyu and Jaeyun. It's good to have a partner that can play with me.

Tho he always makes me lose, I will win one day for sure.
