"Why are you so nervous?" – "I'm not." I lied as I straightened my tie...again.

"Come on Hee, you've been straightened it the 100ths time now. It's not our first date." She responses, being suspicious of my behaviour. "I know, it's just-" – "Sir, your food is here." Of course the waitress had to interrupt me. Eunbyeul just thanked him as the waitress went away. "Can we go on the beach after the dinner?" I looked at her all nervous hoping she would say yes. "Sure," She took a bite as I also started eating.

Eunbyeul is my girlfriend of five years. We started dating, when I accidentally made our cars crash. Exactly five years from today. It was love at first sight.

Well, as an idol it is difficult to go somewhere without paparazzi following you around.

That's why I invited her on a three days vacation on Jeju island. Main goal is to propose to her.

- before the proposal idea

"I really want to propose to her." I said to y/n and Jake who were sitting at the table. I came over to their place as I couldn't stop thinking about it. "I think she's also ready. She kept giving signs." Jake started choking on his food. "What kind of signs?" y/n asked completely ignoring her husband choking. "Just saying something like 'when we move together' or she kept reposting things related to marriage!" still frustrated I slammed my head to the table.

"Then propose to her already!" Jake finally participated in the conversation, feeding his little son, Jun.

"Y/n I need a ring, can you accompany me please?" – "Like- right now?" I nodded hectic. "Well," She looked at Jake as he just kept feeding their son "we didn't plan anything for tonight anyways." She shrugged her shoulders as I thanked her.

I went back to our dorm which was next door and started looking for good places to propose. It was my first love (and hopefully my last) so I wanted to make it perfect. Looking at some videos and connecting all our dots, I came to the conclusion to go to Jeju with her.

I quickly got ready to go to the jeweller. "Don't worry I'm not that clueless," I proudly said as Y/n got into the car "I did my researches and already have an idea."

The main idea for the ring was a cute big diamond surrounded by little diamonds building a heart. Of course I will buy her another ring when we'll get married, IF she says yes, but for now this was my imagine.

"Hello," Y/n smiled at the woman once we entered the shop. "I'm looking for something similar to this, could you help?" I showed the woman the ring on my phone as she nodded and went to the other side. "If you follow to this side." She said when y/n and I followed.

"Is this what you're looking for?" I slightly shook my head, looking at the other ones. "Are you- you by any chance Heeseung?" A man who seemed to work there asked me confused. I bowed and nodded "Ah, yes." He opened his mouth in disbelief. "Ms. Kim, please show him this way." He made us follow his lead. I looked back at y/n, who just smiled.

I looked at the rings again, finding nothing that she'd like. "Do you have any other rings by any chance?" The man nodded once again, making ms. Kim bring out a kind of suitcase. As she opened it, one ring caught my eye.

"This one. This is perfect." I showed it to her before she took it out. "Y/n can you give her your hand for measurements? Eunbyeuls are almost the same." – "Of course!" She gave her hand to Ms. Kim.

The measurement was done quickly and soon enough the diamond ring belonged to me. On the way back home I told y/n about the trip to the island and how I planned to propose. She was also proud of me because I handled all that in quick time.

- present time

After we ate and paid the bill, we went on the beach. I was still a nervous wreck, trying not to be obvious.
"Five years ago, I fell for you." I started as we walked down the beach, enjoying the sunset. "I tried everything to find you again, just to make you mine." – "Mission accomplished." Eunbyeul smiled stopping in her track and locking our hands.

I kissed her gently, forgetting what I wanted to do.

Before all of this could escalate, I went on one knee. The cliché.

I looked at her, taking out the box. Her eyes started shining, her hand still in mine. Slowly I let go of it, revealing the ring.

"Choi Eunbyeul, you are my first love and even through up and downs you loved me and didn't let go. I love you more than anyone else ever could. I cannot live a single day without you being part of it so I'm asking you, will you stay with me until death do us part?"

Eunbyeul started crying, making a silent laugh leave my mouth. "Yes, Lee Heeseung, I will stay with you." I put the ring on her finger, I placed one hand on her waist as the other held her chin up.

Eunbyeul looked into my eyes "I love you." She confessed. "I love you more Eunbyeul." I whispered before closing my eyes and making our lips intertwine into a long kiss.

"I can't believe the Lee Heeseung is my fiance." Eunbyeul remarked between the kiss leaving a big smile on my lips. "Let's go back to the hotel room." I still smiled as she just followed me.
