h̶u̶g̶s̶ a̶n̶d̶ kisses ➪ jake

I hate home. My family sucks and there is no need to stay home. No one cares anyway. Whenever time gets tough at home I just run away. Always to the Han river.

Today was another day like the ones where I run away. Some tears were falling while I was walking to the Han river. We even came to the point where I don't care about people looking at me like I'm a weirdo. I think they never saw a teenager cry in public? Not sure though.

As I sat down at the river I looked around. Not many people at this time, as expected.

"You good?" - "No." - "Oh. You want a beer?" - "No." - "You want to talk?" - "No." - "Do you want to make out?" - "N- what?" I finally looked at the voice that was coming from a boy. "Yes or no?" He sat next to me and just gave me his second can of beer. "After drinking this." I wiped off my tears and opened the can.

So now I'm sitting with another teenager at the river drinking alcohol and I am about to make out with him? Wow. Finally something new.

"I'm Jake, and you?" - "Jake the subway surfer boy?" - "No idiot." He laughed. "I'm Byeol." - "You're a beautiful star." He smiled which made me laugh. I started looking at his face, looking at all his features.
"You're hot." - "Are you already drunk?" - "Can't I tell you you're cute while being sober?" - "You can but it won't turn out good." - "We're strangers." I gave him a disgusted face, now laying on the grass.

"Did you run away too?" I asked him making him lay down too. "You did too?" - "So that's why you want to make out. You're so dumb." I laughed taking another sip.

"So are we gonna make out or not." Jake came closer. "Let me think," I got further away "It's almost midnight, I'm outside drinking with a complete stranger who is very similar to me bonus he is very hot and suddenly wants to make out?" - "That's correct." He whispered closing his eyes. "Hmm"

I was about to answer when suddenly we heard a voice "BYEOL? JANG BYEOL?" I could see a light from far away. "Oh fuck, that's my name." - "Do you want to run away?" Jake asked looking at me. "I won't say no." He smirked at my answer "Let's go." He got up and just took my hand as we started running.

I didn't know where he was taking me but we ran for a long time when he suddenly stopped in a small street. Out of breath, I leaned against the wall trying to breathe again. Jake was laughing as he tried the same now standing in front of me. "Who were the people?" He asked still standing in front of me. "Sounded like my best friend." I shrugged my shoulders, approaching his body, which I couldn't earlier because of the darkness.
"Why-" - "I think I saw her running that way." We heard voices again. "Yup, that's my best friend." I whispered signalling Jake to be quiet.

"Hey Jake, you wanted to make out, right?" He looked confused. "I'm sorry." I just pulled him making our lips touch. "So you want it that way?" He whispered millimeters away from my lips, making our lips touch again.

The best way to hide your face when someone is looking for you is by making out with someone. That's what I figured out while Jake was kissing me and my best friend and another person just walking past us.

Minutes later he got away from me, leaving me breathless once again. "I hate you." I tried catching for air. "You're good at kissing." He smiled taking a few steps away from me and walking out of the street. "Jake! Where are you going?!" I whispered looking for a silhouette that looks similar to my best friends.

"Let's go somewhere else." He took my hand as I just followed. "And where do you wanna go this time?" - "I don't want to sleep at home." He walked to the nearest hotel. "I-" - "Don't worry nothing will happen tonight." He laughed going into the hotel.

- next morning

Let's not forget I have school today.

Suddenly I woke up with a bad cramp and Jake sleeping next to me. Even when he's sleeping he's attractive how is that possible?!
I left a small note on a piece of toilet paper and made my way back home. Luckily my parents go to work already in the morning.
