"MY GIFT! IM LOSING MY GIFT!"

What?

————————————————————————

Y/n's pov:

I stopped walking up the stairs and stood there in shock as I heard Luisa bawling her eyes out about how she was losing her gift. I stood there, listening to how Abuela instantly thought Mirabel had something to do with it. She was probably about to scold her, when she quickly walked past me to 'go get the Guzmans.' Mirabel spotted me.

"Y/n!! You're still here? I assume you went home after I didn't see you at Bruno's door when I got out.." I walked up at her.

"Oh, no Dolores just pulled me away so I could help-, oh that doesn't matter. Did you find the vision?" I asked, anxious to hear about what she had found.

"Follow me."

She lead me to her bedroom, and put together a couple pieces of what looked like shattered green glass. I gasped softly as the pieces formed a picture of Mirabel.

"Why am I in your vision, Bruno?"

Pepa then scared the living shit out of us and went on to sing about her wedding with her husband, Felix. Dolores and Camilo then ate up their verses of the song that involved the mystery man who had disappeared 10 years ago. By the end of everything, Mirabel had put together the vision completely, revealing her standing in front of her Casita. But the vision was strange, as it also showed the house cracking... and from the looks of it, it seemed Mirabel was the reason for the cracking.

"I never should've brought up Bruno." Mirabel said. Not long after, we heard a knock at the door.

"Miraboo! Got your party pants on? 'Cause I-"

Mirabel's dad came in, and we both quickly turned around and tried to cover up the vision. Failing to do so, Mirabel spilled everything to her dad.

"....-and i think it's all because of... meee?"

I stood there awkwardly as Mirabel's dad was too stunned to speak. He pushed us out of the way gently to get a better look at the vision.

"Pa?"

"We say nothing." He continued rambling as he put the pieces of the vision into his pocket. He turned and finally noticed I was standing there.

"Uh- Mirabel who is this-"

"That's my friend y/n! Can she um stay for dinner..." Mirabel asked quietly.

"Oh, no it's ok I can leave-" I said, bringing my body closer to the door.

"No. You stay. Maybe if Abuela is too busy stressing about another guest, she won't pick up that something is wrong." He said. He turned again to Mirabel.

"None else has to know."

The door creaked open. We all turned to see Dolores staring at us with wide eyes.

"I know."

Well shit...

"Time to eat!"

Mirabel brought me downstairs with her and her dad. She pulled up a chair for me next to her and I sat down awkwardly. No one cared much about me being there. In fact no one seemed to notice, except one boy in particular, who was watching me the whole time, confused as to why I was still there and joining them for dinner.

"The Guzmans and the Madrigals together will be so good for the Encanto."

A women, who I assumed was Mariano's mom, nodded her head.
