"Good morning! How about today?" Lucius asks over the phone early in the morning. His phone call ruined my sleep. It's fucking 5 in the morning!

"What the fuck, Lucius?!" I yelled in annoyance but he responded with a playful chuckle.

"Where's my good morning, babe?"

"Babe, my ass," I hissed and ended the call.

Napilitan akong bumangon nang hindi na nakapabalik sa pagtulog. I planned to be late for the meeting I will attend this morning. Wala akong balak pumasok nang maaga dahil sa isang dahilan. I simply want to get under my Dad's skin. I know it's childish, but I don't care.

He will be in the meeting and his daughter, will probably try to see how bad I am at work. I have no care if I made a bad impression to them. All I care is get my work done.

The meeting will be at 9:00 am, and they might be preparing right now but I'm still eating my breakfast. Minutes later, my phone rings again with my mother's name on the screen.

Agad ko iyong sinagot. "Good morning, Mom," I greet with a cheerfu voice.

"Where the hell are you?"

"At home, eating breakfast. I woke up late because of the party last night."

I heard my Mom's loud sigh before she start yelling. "You fucking know what time is the board meeting, right? Your secretary reminded you yesterday. Don't be late, Esther."

My lips form a evil smirk, drink my water as I listening to her. I stood up and put the plate in the sink.

"I'll be late," I say before making a kiss sound. "Love you, Mom."

Mom just sighed and was about to shout again but I immediately turned down the call.

I put my heels on, pick up bag and shades before stepping out of my unit. Nang makarating sa lobby ay may nakasalubong pa akong kakilala at nagkaroon ng medyo mahabang usapan habang papuntang basement. When I look at my watch it is already 8:45 am.

Nang makapasok ako sa sasakyan ay huminto muna ako sa isang cafe malapit sa opisina. I ordered a caffe misto and while waiting for my drink in an empty table, a bold arms wrapped around my waist.

"You smell good, Esther." That husky voice in the morning gave me goosebumps.

When I faced him I already wanted to smack his face for ruining my day. Agad akong tumayo at tinulak siya palayo sa akin. I look at him with sharp eyes. "Ang aga mo namang sirain ang araw ko," I hissed, refraining from making a scene.

Lucius' just stood right there, smirking playfully as he stares at me "I'll see you tomorrow," Lucius said and got his drink when his name was called from the counter before leaving the cafe.

Parang kabute na sumusulpot na lang bigla at maglalaho ng parang bula kung kailan niya gusto. He's been like that since we met. He will see me when he wants, and when I'm starting to crave for his attention again, he just disappear.

It was a bad day for me when I met him. I wasn't in a mood to do anything fun. I just stayed in the playground in the park in our village while I'm sitting in the swing and drinking a canned beer.

The night was cold as my heart. Clouds and stars weren't present in the sky, only the moon alone as I am. It was late August and the class just started again.

The night was great if I will only forget about what happened 30 minutes ago at home.

I sipped on my beer and pushed back the swing. Habang gumagalaw ang duyan na kinauupuan ko ay natanaw ko na ang imahe ng isang lalaking nakatayo sa tabi seesaw at naninigarilyo. He's wearing black cap, a sweater and sweatpants. Looks like some bad guys in a movie, but it didn't scare me at all. If he's here to kill me, I'll be glad to stay until it happens.
