4. Peony

I was sitting at my desk and waiting for Tomura to log on to Diamond Kingdom.

'Maybe I should do my homework first then.'

'Highlight the true sentences from the text blue and false sentences yellow.' I looked in my pencil case "shit, I don't have any yellow anymore, nor do I have Blue!? And green. I should go to the store and get some more." I put on a hoodie and took a bag with me just in case.

While I was walking to the store I started playing some mobile games. Then I suddenly got a call from discord. I quickly put in my earphones  and answered the call "Hello?" I asked "Hey y/n! What are you doing right now, I thought we were supposed to play Diamond Kingdom!" I gasped. I had completely forgotten about Tomura. "I'm so sorry Tomura! I completely forgor! " I yelled kinda loudly and people on the street looked at me funny."That's fine you can just log on now, right?" He asked, "I'm sorry Tomura but I'm actually not at home right now, I'm walking to the store..." "That's fine it's not like you will take a long time." 'Yeah, I'm really sorry Tomura."

"Ok Tomura I got my highlighters and I'm walking home now so don't worry," I said confidently. "If you say so..." He said. Right, when I was about to walk out of the shopping center a certain store caught my eye. 

the candy store...

"I really wanna buy some candy right now," I said out loud without thinking "y/n your seriously taking another detour?" Tomura said with a hint of disappointment in his voice. " I promise you it won't take long, I'm just getting a few sweets to stock in my room! I don't Like walking all the way to my kitchen or asking a maid too. It makes me feel embarrassed." I admitted. Tomura sighed and said, "It's fine, do whatever you want." "I'm so sorry Tomura! I promise ill repay you somehow!" I said.

I looked at a pack of Mars chocolate and Twix. I had a hard time choosing so I asked Tomura "Hey Tomura, do you think I should get the Mars chocolate or the Twix chocolate?" He answered "I don't know what those are. I don't usually eat chocolate BUT I can recommend you to buy Ramune, it's a very popular beverage here in Japan. You know the ones where you get a bottle and have to push down on a little ball to open it!" "Oh yeah, those I can go to this shop that outside the mall that sells foreign food,  maybe I can get some there!". I quickly chose the Mars chocolate and went to the cash register with all the other candy I bought.

As I walked out of the shopping center I froze. I saw all these people from my private school coming my way.

They're probably skipping school...

I quickly put my hair in my hoodie and ran into the foreign shop.

I know for sure that they won't come in here since they always go to expensive shops.

"Hurry up y/n! Your taking so long I wanna play Diamond Kingdom already!" Tomura whined to me "Cmon Tomura stop acting like a baby! You recommended me that Ramune drink so now I'm curious and I'm going to buy it whether you like it or not!" He grunted like a little kid and said "Hurry up...". I giggled at him, even when he doesn't do it on purpose he always has makes me laugh.

I walked around the shop until I found the freezer and immediately spotted the sweet drink inside, as I scanned the bottle's I asked Tomura "Hey Tomura which one do you think I should get?" He stayed silent for a minute then said "The strawberry flavored one." Curiously I asked "Why? Is it your favorite flavor?" He stayed silent for a bit but then admitted "whenever I drink the strawberry flavored Ramune... it reminds me of you..." then everything was silent "W-what do you mean by that Tomura? Aww, are you calling me sweet?" I joked. "Shut up! It just reminds me of you, don't interpret that like something completely different!" He yelled, but it was obvious he got a little flustered by my teasing. "I'm just messing with you Tomura, if it reminds you of me that means that ill probably love it!". I took two bottles out of the freezer and went to pay for them at the cash register.

"Ok Tomura, no more detours I'm going home right now!" I said, "And how long are you going to take to get home?" He asked annoyed. "Well since I'm walking home, about 10 minutes.".
He groans again.
"Ugh, that's gonna take such a long time! Do you even know how long I've been waiting to play with you?" "I'm sorry Tomura but you're going to have to wait a little longer!" Then he grunted like a little child "I would've not minded if I was actually there with you." He said. "Yeah, I would love to be with you right now." Right before he could react I felt water droplets fall from the sky onto my nose "it's raining..." it started pouring rain so I quickly ran into a bus stop. I sighed knowing that I won't be getting home any time soon "I'm sorry Tomura, I don't think we will be able to play Diamond Kingdom...". He moved away from the device he was using to call and groaned just like usual, he moved closer again, so close to the microphone that it felt like he was talking right into my ear "Yeah I figured..." he muttered.

I felt him speak like he was right next to me... right into my ear...

"I-i Uhm..."

I feel kinda sad that I disappointed Tomura like that...

BUT WHY AM I STUTTERING, GET IT TOGETHER Y/N!

"I'm sorry we couldn't play today Tomura. I'm going to call an uber or something. See you tomorrow!" Before he could answer, I immediately hung up the discord call. 

But I do feel kind of guilty for stoping the call like that, I should call him back tomorrow.

while I waited for the uber I called I took out one of the Ramune bottles.

It's very sweet...I like it.

It's 11:50 am aka lunchtime at school. As I'm getting ready to leave the teacher asks "Excuse me y/n, can I talk to you for a minute?".

It's not the first time my teacher asked me something like this, does she want me to tutor someone again?

My teacher's face looked kind of odd though, "Yes miss, did you need me for something?" I asked. "Y/n... I don't know how to say this but...Uhm, you forgor to finish your homework."

Excuse me?
