"San?" Wooyoung says, looking up at him. San hums looking down at him.
"We're... we're good right?" Wooyoung asks softly.
"Yeah Woo, we're good." San says calmly.
"Cause I know you-" Wooyoung starts.
"Shhhh, it's all good now." San says massaging his fingers lightly through Wooyoung's hair.
"Ok... San?"
"Mhm."
"I care about you, a lot." Wooyoung says suddenly, almost surprising himself.
"I care about you too Woo." San says sweetly, but he was screaming internally.
"C-can we go on a date soon? W-where you pick me up and bring me home and maybe even give me a goodnight kiss?" Wooyoung asks.
"Yeah we can Woo, god you're so cute. Where do you want to go?" San asks, laughing quietly.
"You can choose, I don't really care as LoNg As I'M WiTh YoU." Wooyoung says in a silly goofy tone.
San laughs causing the hair to fall forward over his eyes. Wooyoung brushes the hair out of his face, staring deeply at San's perfect complexion, his eyes work their way down from his eyes to his lips. He leans in slowly letting his lips brush over San's lightly but he stops, forcing San to make the final call. San grabs Wooyoung's neck softly, bringing him into his lips. Wooyoung wraps his hand around San's head, lowering his head down so Wooyoung has a better angle. The two finally pull apart, looking at each other's eyes as they return to their previous positions.
"Couldn't wait for a good night kiss huh?" San says, laughing lightly.
"Oh shut up." Wooyoung blushes, San softly kisses Wooyoung's nose causing the blush to spread more rapidly.
"Come on, we gotta get back home." San says, softly pushing Wooyoung off his lap. The two boys pack up and get in the car, their smiling's refusing to leave their faces. They drive away from the cliff just as Wooyoung's mom calls him.
"Hello mother." Wooyoung says in a monotone voice. Wooyoung loved his mom a lot but she tended to be very controlling over Wooyoung and his life.
"Wooyoung, that's no way to greet your mother, try again." She says. Wooyoung grits his teeth, tightening his grip on the phone.
"Hi mom!" Wooyoung says sarcastically.
"Hello Wooyoung. What are you doing? Where are you?" She asks. "Now I know how Woo talks that fast." San thinks, the speaker was loud enough for him to hear their conversation.
"I'm driving home right now." Wooyoung groans.
"Why are you driving and on your phone? That's not safe Woo." She lectures.
"I'm not the one driving." Wooyoung rolls his eyes, completely done with the conversation.
"Who's driving you? You shouldn't trust strangers, Wooyoung." She says. Wooyoung growls, almost ending the conversation there. San grabs Wooyoung's free hand, rubbing his thumb on his palm.
"He's not a stranger mom." Wooyoung says with a newfound calmness.
"Oh a friend?" She asks.
"Yes, I suppose you could say that." Wooyoung mutters, blushing slightly.
"Suppose? Is he your friend or not Wooyoung?" She snaps at him.
"I guess he's something more." Wooyoung says, glancing at San whose eyes are on the road.
"What? Do you mean to tell me you're dating this boy?" She asks in a disgusted tone.
"Kind of..."
"No. We never talked about dating, let alone boys." She says.
"Mothe-" Wooyoung starts.
"No, we will talk about this later." Just like that she ends the call.
Wooyoung sighs and let's go of San's hand, turning away from him to face the window. "Are you ok?" San asks.
"I'm fine, don't worry." Wooyoung says, shifting to face the front as he grabs San's hand again.
"I'm here, if you need anything." San says sweetly.
"T-thank you." Wooyoung says, tearing up. San looks over at him and strokes Wooyoung's hair, kissing his hand before he pulls his own away. "I'm sorry I should be the one taking care of you." Wooyoung pouts.
"No, you shouldn't. I've worked my whole life to get this disorder under control so I can take care of others. I have all of the help and support I need so I can be independent. Woo, you don't need to be strong for me." San explains. Wooyoung nods, feeling grateful for San.
"I-I just never thought she..." Wooyoung says as he begins to sob.
"It's ok, let it out." San lulls.
"I didn't even think about her being homophobic, she was fine when Yeosang came out." Wooyoung cries.
"It's ok Woo, everything's gonna to be ok just breathe." San says calmly. Wooyoung lets out a shaky breath as he tries to slow his breathing down.
"C-can we go home please?" Wooyoung asks kindly after calming down.
"Yeah we can." San smiles as he continues down the quiet abandoned street. The drive back has more of a peaceful silence than from before, the only sounds being the hum of the engine and Wooyoung tapping his fingers on the dashboard.
