An old love

It was a beautiful morning at the Ponderosa! The birds were singing and the boys were still sleeping when "someone" realized it was too late in the morning, and the boys had to go to work. It was 9 pm, not that late, but the boys should be awake at 5 or 6 am. So Ben, as a good father, went to wake them up. "Gooood morning boysss!!" He said at each of the rooms as he opened the curtain. He heard some complains as: "oh, it's too early" "oh, only 5 more minutes!" or "oh, it's too sunny!" But Ben wouldn't let the boys relax more! They had to work! "Come on boys! You guys are already used to that! Come on!" Ben said as he go down the stairs with the boys falling him. The boys were already sitting when Ben remembered that there was something the boys should get in town. "Boys, you have a lot to do! Adam, I want you to go in town and get a something at the mail. Hoss, and Little Joe can do some work at the ranch, when Adam get back he can help you two" When everyone finished their breakfast, Adam, Hoss and Joe were doing what Ben said. Adam was already in his way to the town. Ponderosa it's away from the town, he was almost there when he heard a shot. He turned to see what it was, he couldn't see anything, but the sounds repeated 3 times. Adam followed the sound and found a girl in a little camp. She was blonde, her clothes weren't the most expensive, they were simple, very simple, but this didn't make the girl look ugly, she was actually really pretty. Adam looked at her with a smile, he couldn't believe it. "R- Ruth?" He asked with a hope look in his eyes. The girl was really surprised, a smile came to her face as she seemed to recognize him too. "A- Adam?" She asked smiling. The two of them were really happy to meet again. They ran a little and hugged each other.
