Bad news

Ruth and Adam were talking about life, they were really missing each other! But Adam's happiness didn't least longer when he figured out that Ruth had another boyfriend. Ruth and Adam had an agreement, they wouldn't fall in love again, they didn't want to suffer, both of them knew that Ruth would probably leave again, since she was always changing place. "So, you have a boyfriend...?" Adam asked. "No, I had. When I went with the Indians,I found someone there. He was sweet and good to me, but after sometime, he wasn't the same. He was always busy and when he was with me, he didn't want me to talk about my parents or my old life, because my parents were white people." Ruth said, a little sad. After some more conversation, Adam went to town and then back to the Ponderosa. Adam was lost in his thoughts and didn't really realize when he arrived to the Ponderosa. "Ohhhh, finally!!!" Ben said running out of the house to see Adam. "Are you ok?? Why did you take so long to get home?" Ben said helping Adam to get off his horse. "Oh, I'm so sorry Pa!! It's because I found someone... Ruth..." Adam said with a sad voice. "Oh..." Ben said already realizing why Adam was so sad. Ben told Ben, Hoss and Joe about what happened and the agreement that he and Ruth wouldn't date. "I'm sorry brother..." Joe said putting carefully his hand on Adam's shoulder. "Don't be sad, at least you can still see her..." Hoss said giving a little smile, trying to make his brother look happier. "Son, we're here for you, don't forget you two did the right thing!" Ben said getting up and touching carefully Adam's back. "Thank you... I love you all!" Adam said with a little smile. After some minutes of conversation with his family, Adam went to bed and all he could think was Ruth.
