Joe and Adam were in the woods looking for Ruth, Joe couldn't hide how he was worried about his brother, Adam was quiet and looking very tired, but Joe didn't know if he should ask him or wait for Adam to talk to him. - Adam, look, I think we should go home, we didn't find her and we probably won't. She could be anywhere, and you don't look so good, maybe you could use some rest, huh? - Joe said trying to play and make the situation a little more simple. For a minute, things were quiet, then Adam broke the silence. - Joe, I'm fine, could we look for her just a little more? - Adam turned to Joe and stated at him. Joe could really see that Adam really wanted to find Ruth, so he agreed. - Ok ok, but what don't you take some water? - Joe said giving his brother some water. - Thanks - Adam said as he drank some water. - You're very welcome! - Joe was smiling and very happy that he's brother was feeling better, he didn't like when his family was hurt and sick, of course, who likes it? But now everything was ok.
After some minutes riding, they still didn't found Ruth. The boys were standing by their horses, about to go back to the house, Joe was looking at Adam, wondering what his older brother was thinking. Adam was disappointed, he really wanted to find Ruth, but his thoughts went away when he felt a little dizzy. Adam blinked his eyes and put his hand on his head to try to come down, Joe got worried and ran to his brother's side. - You ok? - Hoe asked as he put his hand on his brother's back. - Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, thanks. - Adam said as he smiled to his younger bother trying to calm him down. - Let's go home - Adam said as he and Joe went back home.
At home, Adam was really quiet, he was lost in his thoughts, thinking about Ruth.
- Son, you can look for her again tomorrow. Don't worry. - Ben said trying to make his son happy.
- Yeah, it's just, that I don't really know what I'm going to say when I see her, I mean, I certainly don't only want to say thank you. - Adam was still looking lost in his thoughts, as he was thinking out loud.
- Well son, you could say what you're feeling. - Ben knew what Adam was feeling, but, did Adam know?
- That's the problem, I- I don't know how I feel about that. I- We made an agreement that we wouldn't fall in love again, because that would hurt both of us, and she has a different life now. She likes to always be changing place. - Adam was very confused, he just wish he could open up easily, that he could tell Ruth about all he was feeling. - Adam, I understand that, but I think this agreement can't stop you two from loving each other. You love her, don't you?
- Yes pa, I do. Very much.
- Well, and I think she loves you very much too, and son, I don't think she would like to live anywhere else you aren't in. You just have to open up to her. I know it's not easy, but it's worth it.
