nearly died both times, i've concluded that if there isn't a near-death experience then it isn't a road trip.

"There's something I need to tell you two," Hope began. "I just don't know how. So, to make you both understand, maybe I should start from the end."

Waking up in the middle of a field with no memory was not on Regulus' bucket list. The last thing he could remember was a phone conversation with Lydia, and after that, it all went black. But even then, there were gaps in his memory.

"Where the hell are we?" Landon questioned. "What happened?"

"I don't know, Toto, but I don't think we're in Kansas anymore," Regulus told him.

"On second thought," Hope said. "I'll just start at the beginning. I knew Landon needed me, and at the time, that's all I needed to know."

"Wait, where are you going? Why can't we tell Raf?" Leia questioned. "And why can't we come with you?"

"Hope asked for my help, I said yes. We're going after him, and Raf can't know because he'll want to jump head first into danger to save him," Regulus explained. "We won't fit in the  car if we bring both of you?"

"But where are you going?" Isaac further questioned.

Regulus sighed, "We don't know yet, we're starting with wherever the bracelet sends us. I get you two don't want me doing this but, I need something to distract me from Allison."

Isaac nodded, "And we get that, but you still haven't called Lydia."

"I will call Lydia, I promise. We just need to find Landon first."

"Going somewhere?" Alaric questioned the two teenagers. "Better questions, where the hell do you think you're going with my keys and without telling me?"

"Um, you know, I just said some really harsh things to you yesterday, and so I just wanted to get you an oil change as a peace offering," Hope lied. Regulus cringed, he had heard better lies come out of Stiles and Scott's mouths, which was saying something, they were shitty liars.

Alaric scoffed, "At 3 a.m.? Hope, you don't have a driver's license. I'm not even sure Regulus' is valid here or if he even has one. You were both gonna commit grand theft auto, which is a felony. You're ditching school right before the midterm exams begin, and you've made it very clear to me that you see me as an authority figure and nothing more. So tell me, why shouldn't I suspend you this very second? And what is that?" Alaric rambled, pointing at the bracelet Hope was holding up.
