I read the "Welcome to Gotham" sign that passed as we got off of the highway.

"I still don't understand why I have to live with them. Why can't I just stay with Aunt Sheridan?" I complain.

"Your aunt is out of town, I've told you this already, Bi-" Dad started until I interrupted.

"Dad, I'm a junior in high school, sixteen going on seventeen. I'm pretty sure I'm capable of taking care of myself." I continue to try to talk him out of leaving me with his cousin.

"You can't be left alone at home because-"

"You don't trust me." I pout, crossing my arms with a roll of my eyes as I stared out the window. I heard him take in a breath as if he was about to say something, but only let out a sigh at the end. We pulled into a driveway as cousin Georgina opened the front door. I got out the car as he popped the trunk for me to get my bags. He got out too and started to grab my bags until I grabbed them from his hands. "I've got it."

I walked from the car, slamming the trunk close loudly. "Bianca!" Dad called but I rolled my eyes as I walked up the steps and into the house. Georgina waved from inside then closed the door. My eyes landed on her daughter, who sent me a disgusted glare I knew I would have to get used to. I hated both of them and they hated me, so I didn't say anything. Georgina showed me to an isolated room upstairs and immediately started throwing rules at me.

"Your curfew is at 11,"

I bet Liz doesn't have a curfew

"Don't go into my room, don't go into Lizette's room, don't have anyone over,"

I bet they have friends over all the time

"Don't ask for any of our stuff, and definitely don't touch our stuff without permission-"

"I don't steal." I mumble angrily and her eyes finally met mine. "And don't talk back to me or Lizette. You have school with her tomorrow. Your father already enrolled you a couple days ago so you would be set." She left the room as I sat on my new bed next to my bags.

I took a deep breath, thinking about tomorrow...about my new school...and being the new girl...

--Next Morning--
An annoying alarm went off in my ear and I groaned sluggishly. Turning it off, I flipped the blanket off of my body, and forced my lazy arms to pull me up. I went to take a shower, then get dressed. I slipped on some black jeans then a white V-neck shirt, my gold "Bianca" necklace around my neck too. I slipped on my white flats, then looked at the clock. 6:32 am. I still had 30 minutes so I started on my hair.

I became frustrated because I couldn't find the perfect style, so I just pulled it into a ponytail with a bang hanging on the side of my face. I looked at the clock again, only 15 minutes. I didn't have time to eat because Georgina was already banging on my door and making me hurry up so she could drop me and Lizette off. I stared out the window and kept silent the entire ride.

"Liz," Georgina started before we got out the car, "Show your cousin around the school, please. When you get the chance." If only she spoke to me like that. Liz rolled her eyes as she got out the car and I got out the back seat. Georgina drove off and Liz looked at me. "I might as well show you around before school starts," She said carelessly with a roll of her eyes, "Just to get it over with." I was silent, rolling my eyes when she turned around, and tried to ignore her tone as I read the sign beside the entrance of the school, "Gotham County High School." I took a deep breath as I followed her inside.

She pointed out big rooms, like the cafeteria and library, then got a little detailed on the rooms in the hall, like Miss Ilk's science class. We turned down a hall, full of lockers and students. "Do you have your locker combination paper?" She asked as we walked down the hall. I reached into my bag and pulled out the paper when I found it. I looked at it and handed it to her, unsure where it was so I thought she would help. Too bad for thinking. She furrowed her eyebrows and gave me a disgusted look. "Find it yourself."

"Fine. Jeez." I say, looking down at it then looking at the lockers. I didn't notice people were kind of clearing the middle of the halls as we passed, most likely for Liz. I'm not going to lie, Lizette was really pretty. I wouldn't blame guys drooling over her, except if they've actually knew how much of a bitch she really was.

"Dick!" Her sudden yell made me jump a little, then I got offended from her insult. "Liz, I don't know who you think yo-"

"I'm not talking to you." She interrupted as we approached a group of guys. She flew into the arms of one, and his eyebrow raised, hesitantly wrapping one arm around her. He was tall, he had dark raven hair and beautiful blue eyes. Saying he was really cute would be an understatement. I stood awkwardly, gripping my books in my arms. His eyes met mine and then he looked back down at Liz who still was cuddled into his arm. "Gonna introduce or what?"

Liz let out an irritated breath. What's wrong with her? I haven't caused her any problem, if anything, I should be the one who's irritated. "Dick, this is Bianca. Bianca, Dick." She said, looking up at the ceiling as if she was having the roughest day of her life. We only had a minute left until class started, so I straightened up, pulling my bag strap over my shoulder a little more. "Class is about to start, so can you direct me to," I paused to look down at my schedule, "Mister Punnett, math, Liz?"

"Get out of this hall, make a left, then make another left, then it's the second door on the right." Liz directed and I nodded, shedding a closed smile and waving goodbye awkwardly, again ignoring Lizette's looks and roll of her eyes. I swear my string was wearing thin with her.
***Time Skip***

During a break in school, I found my locker so after school was over, I put my books back in my locker. I didn't know where Lizette was, so I kind of just roamed the halls. GCH (Gotham County High) was pretty big, and there were papers and posters hanging on the walls, showing it was creative too. Then, one poster caught my eye. I read it, and saw "gymnastics" that got me excited. I loved gymnastics, ever since my mom let me take classes years ago. I saw there was going to be a little gathering for gymnasts (or wanna be gymnasts) and I pulled out my phone to text Georgina. I doubt they would've waited for me to come to the car if I was late, and I'm sure they've left me at school by now, but I told her that I was staying for the gymnastic thing anyways.

I got there and I couldn't help but smile, seeing the gymnastic equipment sitting there, waiting for me to use them. And I was happy to be here alone. I put my bag against the wall and took my jacket off. I sat on the floor, stretching my legs out and touching my toes, stretching for 30 seconds each position. After my stretching was finished, I stood and walked over to the first, basic piece of equipment. I brushed my fingers softly against the balance beam, closing my eyes and remembering the first time I got on one of these, my mom watching proudly from the sidelines. It caused me to smile. Man, I haven't done this in a long time.

I lifted my leg and stood on the balance beam, trying to remember a couple of old routines. I took a deep breath, putting my arms out and trying to be calm. I bent over and got a firm grip under my hands then flipped my legs over my body, forcing me into a front flip. Surprisingly, my feet caught the balance beam and my spine straightened, bending to the side at the end to catch my balance before falling over. I was proud, so I continued, trying harder routines each try. Trying a front flip with no hands shook me, but it didn't stop me from trying. After attempting the handless front flip, my foot hit the beam again, but my balance was loss right after, and I plummeted onto the mat beside the beam, and fell flat on my ass.

I heard a chuckle and I looked around. At the entrance of the gym stood Dick, himself, smiling away and finding my mishap and pain amusing. "Why would you try something so advanced for your first time?" He asked, walking up to me and helping me up. I rolled my eyes, wiping the dust off my butt. "That wasn't my first time. I've done gymnastics since I was 5, until I stopped when I turned 12. I'm just a little rusty, that's all." He smirked but didn't reply. "How much of that did you see?" I ask, eyebrow raising.

"From your first flip. You need to practice on your balance and posture a little bit more."

"Oh, so now you're a gymnast expert." I say, walking to my bag.

"Maybe I am-"

"Then enjoy the gym. It's all yours." I say, grabbing my bag and swinging my jacket over my shoulder.

"Aren't you going to practice some more?"

"No, I'm headed home." I walked out the gym before he could say something else. Truth be told, I wanted to talk to him longer, but he was with Liz. I had to hate him too, right?
