The mysterious kid (Reader X Jollibee)

Ashley had agreed to go to the restaurant with us. But she would either arrive late or have to leave early. She was going to make a doctor's appointment to get her wrist x-rayed.

Ashley had made an appointment for 6:30 P.M. so we would have to go to the restaurant at like 5:00. Sebastian had assured us this restaurant wouldn't be a time consuming visit.

And so we arrived and I suppose Sebastian was right. I had never been to this restaurant in my life. We walked in and someone came up to seat us. She looked familiar, but I wasn't sure from where.

When we finally checked the time we noticed it was 6:10 and the doctor appointment place was around 15 minutes away, and we hadn't payed yet. I offered to stay behind and pay but Ashley told me I should stay with Sebastian and pay and she would hurry to get to the appointment. Considering the town bus was coming in two minutes and we wouldn't want to have to hold the bus driver up by buying two tickets over one.

So here I sat awkwardly across from Sebastian as the waitress came back to take the check. He said he would pay for dinner but I insisted on tipping, because I didn't wanna seem rude.

"So, um what are you doing tomorrow?" he asks me looking genuinely interesting. I don't know how to respond because his questions catches me off guard so I stare at him awkwardly for a few moments before remembering I should probably answer.

"Oh um well I'll probably go home after school and watch TV, I got nothing better to do," I answer trying to avoid eye contact with him. He seems to be thinking about what to say next before he takes a deep breathe and seems to have found the words he wants to say.

"Well so Ashley told me to ask if you wanted to go see a movie. With me and Ashley too obviously," he tells me this looking semi worried about how I will respond. I think for a moment about why Ashley would ask Sebastian to ask me and not just ask me herself.

"That sounds fun, what movie are we gonna see?" My question seems to make Sebastian grin.

"How does the new Jurrassic Park movie sound?" He says very happily. He seems to be a big fan considering on the way he reacted to me asking.

"Sounds fun what time does it start, so we know when we should start heading over there tomorrow," as I finish my question he pulls out his phone before typing something into his phone. I can only assume it's the show times for the movies before looking up at me again.

"It starts at 6:15 tomorrow, so how about we both go to someones house after school tomorrow and then head to the theater and just eat something there or on the way," he tells me. I nod my head at him and say something aong the lines of sure sounds good. The waitress then returns and tells us to have a good night before walking away from our table leaving me and Sebastian alone again.

"You all can come to my house if you wanted, that would just mean you like had to ride my bus or something after school tomorrow cause I don't have my license yet, just my permit," I tell him while fidgetting with my hands under the table.

"We also could just go to Ashleys cause of her older brother having a car but then again he migh take friends home or something so his car might be full. I guess we could just go to your place," he tells me this with a seemingly newfound confidence boost. He begins to stand so I follow his lead before we exits the building with me trailing behind him, he walks incredibly fast. I eventually catch up to him and we are walking side by side and turn the corner towards the bus stop. We stand there side by side for an awkward few moments before the bus finally arrives. I watch as Sebastian pays and then I walk up and pay before following him to two seats that are luckily unoccupied. As the bus starts to move I look over to find Sebastian looking at me but as I look towards him he looks away.

As we near our bus stop, which is still like ten minute walk to my house but is still weirdly the closest stop, he pulls the string so the driver knows to stop. Now that I think about it I didn't know exactly where Sebastian lived but apparently it was in the same area as this bus stop too. The bus came to a stop and we both stood before making our way towards the exit of the bus. Nobody was getting on here so I tried to hurry ourselves off as to not hold anyone else up. "So I'll see you tomorrow at school then?" I ask him as the bus pulls away from behind us.

"Yep. See you tommorow," and with that he walks away from me in the opposite direction I need to go. I frown for some reason before turning around and beginning my trek home. As I near my house I put my phone back into my pocket and get out my house key. I quickly made my way upstairs before getting into comfier clothes and just allowing myself to lay on my bed face first wondering what the heck happened.
