Diamond's POV:

It's been two days now, two days fucking days of being jobless. I'd applied for a job at a dozen places and they all rejected my application. This can't be a coincidence and I'm most definitely sure that this is all because of my bad luck.

Mrs. Chang had sent me my salary yesterday. I had just paid rent and I decided to shop for food with what was left of it. I'll have to get a job soon to get back on my feet or else I'll be jobless and homeless and I refuse to ask my so called family for help.

I was currently at a local Walmart, just mindlessly walking down the isles with only two items in my cart so far. I stopped at the cereal section, looking particularly for those chocholate cereal stuffed with hazelnut. I don't really know what it's called but I can identify it from the picture on the box.

To my dismay I didn't find it and just as I was about to turn back around something or someone drew my attention.
It was a little girl, she looked like a tween maybe.

She was dressed in all black and she had long light brown hair. My eyes widened when I noticed what she was doing, she was shoplifting and she didn't seem like she was trying to be descreet.

"Hey, what are you doing!" I slightly yelled and her eyes snapped to me, I don't know why but I subconsciously gulped at the intensity of her grey orbs, she looked me over once and continued with her act.

"Stop it, thats stealing" she ingnored me and picked up another item, we were the only ones in this isle and that wasn't helping at all.

"Hey, you there, what are you doing?" I watched as one of the male employees marched up to her, this little girl boldly ignored him as she picked up what seemed to be a snack bar, she opened it and took a bite.

Okay, now that an employee is here this girl is not my problem, I'll just keep my black ass out of this.

"I'm with her" My eyes widened as the girl pointed to me.

"What! No, she's lying I don't know her" I shrieked in disbelief and the girl turned to me and smirked.

"Sir, I assure you that she's my aunt, I honestly don't know why she's denying it" What was wrong with this girl.

"Miss, if she's with you please keep an eye on her and you're gonna have to pay for that" He pointed to the bar in her hand before turning around to leave.

"Why would you do that?" I glared at the little girl who was smirking at me. "Maybe bext time you should mind your own business" she sassed with an air of arrogance, I stood with my mouth agape as I watched her leave.

Little Bitch.

Maybe I needed to head home now. I sighed, glancing down at the bag of apples and loaf of bread in my cart.

I kicked my shoes off and let out a breathy exhale as I flopped down on my couch, I angrily threw my phone along with my purse right beside me on the couch.
My lastest job application just got rejected.
I was wondering what I was going to do when a knock on my front door interrupted my thoughts.

Groaning in annoyance I got up to my feet, "I'm coming, geez" I yelled out as the knocking continued.

I opened the door only to instantly close it.
"Diamond, baby, please open up"

"No, Shawn go away before I call the police." It was not an empty threat, he's been constantly trying to reach out to me and this was the last straw.

Maybe he should've thought of all this before getting his dick wet.
