2014, March

A week has passed since the school year started and I'm already tired of this place. Actually, I've been wishing for this year to be over as soon as I stepped in this place on the first day. Anyways...

Choi San is still my seatmate and he's still following me everywhere. But he has stopped talking to me and asking questions unless it's really important which, to be really honest, has made him more tolerable.

Currently, we're having our last class of today, which is science. I'm looking at my watch every 30 seconds, hoping to see a miracle. But it seems like time isn't passing at all.

After what feels like ten years, the final bell rings, indicating the end of school for today.

"Well, seems like I have to let you go to for now," our science teacher says and everyone immediately start packing their stuff. "See you in two days," he says and then walks out of the classroom.

"That felt like forever," Choi San mumbles as he puts his book in his backpack. He then looks at my books which are still on my desk, "aren't you going to pack your stuff?"

"I will, but I'm not in a rush."

"Uh..." he tilts his head and looks at me, "aren't you going home?"

"Not now. I have two extra classes to take."

"Oh... But why?"

"My dad is making me take extra classes after school to make sure that I study. If I stay home, as he says, I waste all of my time watching dramas and variety shows."

"Oh..." Choi San looks at me with pity, making me feel even worse than I already do. "Well, I'll get going then," he picks up his backpack and stands up. "See you tomorrow," he gives me a small smile and waves before following the rest of the students out.

I look at the almost-empty classroom, only three more students are left. I let out a deep sigh as I put my science book in my backpack. Better prepare myself for four more hours of torture...

Ugh, my butt hurts from sitting for too long...

As I stretch my arms, I can hear my shoulders crack. I pick up my backpack and put it over shoulders as I go out of the classroom.

The school is quiet as there aren't many people here at the moment. The empty hallway is slowly creeping me out. I increase my speed so that I can get out of this place faster.

As I reach the staircase, I hear some voices. I look down and see two teachers coming up the staircase. Taking a deep breath, I mentally prepare myself to greet them.

When we finally reach each other, I bow my head and smile, mumbling a barely audible 'have a good day'. They smile back at me and continue going up while I continue going down.

Finally, I reach the school's yard. It's nearly empty with around five kids waiting to be picked up. It's also very dark, only two lights being on, making it even creepier than the inside of the building.

The outside of the school isn't very different. It's more lit but it's just as quiet. The only noises are from the people coming out or going in the convenience store or from the kids playing in the little playground. Our neighborhood is a really quiet place and I really hate walking home by myself.

I would've put my earphones in and listened to some songs but personal experience has taught me that if I walk in this neighborhood with earphones in, there's a high chance that I would get run over by some passing car.

As I turn around the corner, our apartment comes into sight. Today is one of those days that it feels like it takes forever to get home. It's at times like this that I really hate being alone...  I would rather be with Choi San than to be alone--
