Lucy POV
She felt like she was flying. Well, she had been flying since that day in the hospital. But now she had a ring on her finger and she was swaying slowly in the arms of a man who loved her as no one else had, and now, no one would ever get the chance to.
"What are you thinking," he whispered, sending shivers down her back. Sighing she replied, "Just about how lucky I am to have you."
"Want to know what I'm thinking," he continued, still in a low voice. She nodded. "How delicious those donuts on the dessert table look."
She shot him a look that said, are you serious right now?
He backpedaled... on a bicycle with donuts for wheels. "No, I'm really thinking about how gorgeous you look in that dress. But... how hard do you think it's going to be to take off?" She giggled and whispered back, "It's not impossible. Look at us. I was your rookie. Now I'm your wife. I don't think a fancy wedding dress is going to be the most difficult thing we've been through together."
"Fair enough, hotshot."
...
"So about those donuts?"
"TIM BRADFORD! SHUT UP ABOUT THE DONUTS!"
