You all finished the zoo visit which Antonio loved and you even let him take one of the small animals because as Prince you can.
"You are the best (y/n) .. now you just gotta marry my sister " The young boy whispers the last part in your ear as you carry him
"well only if she wants to marry me. I'd marry her any day. " you whisper back even though you know Dolores can hear
she blushes as she's holding on to your right arm as you all are walking. you glance at Mario as he's making Luisa laugh and smile. you know he is crushing hard.
"Tonito are you ready to see me kick Mario's butt today? " you say
you smirk as Mario glares at you
"no way little bro. " he tells you
"(y/n) is the best with a sword. he's been teaching me. " Antonio tells your brother
"well we will have to just see how good he really is against me. " Mario huffs
you chuckle and you show the Madrigals the knight school.
"wow this is nice " Felix says looking at the wall of photos of old knights.
"look that's Mikael" Mirabel says smiling at a photo of your father smiling bright to the camera
"he was the best knight and then became mami's personal guard. " you explain.
Mario tells them the history of the school. you grab a knight helmet and put it on Antonio who giggles
"oh Antonio you are the bravest and most loyal knight ever. " you tell the little boy who laughs.
you smile and take it off of him since it's so big. Dolores can't help but smile since she loves to see you interact with her family. you watch and see Isabela watching Alex, your first female knight.
"she's single and likes girls too " you whisper in her ear
Isabela jumps and glares at you.
"shut up "
you chuckle knowing Isabela is taking a liking to the blonde who has her sides buzzed cut. You take the madrigals to sit with the knights and you and Mario stand in front.
"hello! today we have a special demonstration of a battle... between me and Prince (y/n). you all use dull swords and armor when practicing but the two of us have been doing this since we was kids. we will be using real swords" Mario says
"and no armor. " you say smirking.
Dolores looks at you with wide eyes. Mikael who was teaching the class comes over and hands you both swords.
"Alex would you please come here and touch it and let everyone know if it's a real sword" you ask
she comes over and inspects the swords and confirms it for everyone. she then goes and sits. you take off your crown and jacket and give it to Dolores. you peck her lips real quick and walk toward your brother.
"hey maybe i want a kiss too" he teases
"maybe if you win which isn't likely " you tell him
he chuckles and rolls his eyes.
"boys you know the rules... don't kill each other. first to the ground. " he tells you both
you both shake hands and take 3 steps back.
"ready... begin!" Mikael says as he moves away
Mario like always is the one to strike first, since being children he loved to make the first move. you block and you two seem to be in this kind of dance as if you can anticipate the others move. you two go like this until Mario finds a way to get your sword out your hands and it lands to the side. you glare at him and he swings at you and you kick it. the sword goes out his hand but he's able to catch it but not before you kick his chest making him stumble. you sweep under his feet and he crashes to the ground. you put a foot gently on his chest.
"check mate. " you say
Mario grabs your foot and pulls you down. you both laugh when you see everyone's shock face. Mario gets up and helps you up.
"nobody got hurt while doing this... well maybe Mario's pride. " you joke
"haha very funny" he said sarcastically
you two hug it out and Mikael thanks you both before continuing his class. the madrigals seem impressed and Dolores kisses you and you kiss back.
"don't scare me like that again " she tells you
"i'm sorry mi amor. i didn't mean to scare you. forgive me ?" you say looking in her eyes with the puppy dog face
"hm... only if you and I can do something in the library" she whispers in your ear
she kisses your cheek lightly and winks before walking off. You watch her blushing.
"come on romeo" Mario tells you since everyone is leaving you
you snap out of it and follow. God Dolores might be the death of you. that girl is just enticing. you all return to the castle and everyone changes for Dinner but Dolores has other plans. let's just say you two aren't having a quick read in the library.
