"Well, they took it better than I thought they would..." Dakota sighed as she laid in Calum's arms after they had come back from dinner with her family.

"Oh, you mean your sisters going silent for the first time all night and looking at me like they wanted to kill me, your mom crying, and your dad getting up and walking out of the restaurant is better than you expected?" Calum asked her in disbelief.

"Well...yeah...my family is pretty intense. We're just lucky I didn't get disowned and you didn't get punched. My niece seemed to love you though! We even got her to call you Uncle Cal..." Dakota looked up at him and saw the huge smile on his face.

"That's true. And it seemed like she loved the idea of you having a baby too." He kissed her forehead before pulling her closer and resting a hand on her stomach.

"If only everyone seemed as excited as she did." Dakota said quietly, thinking of her mom's reaction to the news of them getting engaged and having a baby. She lifted up her left hand and examined the ring Calum had bought her before dinner; it wasn't a traditional diamond engagement ring, the center stone was a white sapphire, with five antique opals positioned around it to make it look like a flower, set in 10K antique yellow gold. She had fallen in love with it as soon as she saw it; she had always known that she didn't want a traditional ring, and that ring was perfect.

"We're excited, and that's what really matters. Which reminds me, we still need to tell my family, the band, and your friends!"

"Tomorrow. I've had enough disapproval for one day." Dakota said sarcastically.

"Whatever you want princess." He gave her one last kiss and pulled the blanket up to cover them. "I love you so much."

"I love you too cheeseball." She nuzzled closer to him and fell asleep.

"Dakota! Calum! You assholes better wake up and let us in!" Hannah was pounding on the front door, Sue was standing awkwardly behind her with Dustin and Mario. Calum woke up first and tried to slip out of bed without waking Dakota up. He grabbed his shirt from the floor and put it on before going to let them in.

"Hey, Dakota is still sleeping, try to keep it down." He told Hannah. "Hi, I'm Calum, I don't think we've officially met yet." He held his hand out to Dustin and Mario, who both just gave him a look before shaking his hand and introducing themselves. Sue went back to Dakota's room to wake her up, and let out a loud squeak when she saw her left hand.

"Hannah! It's true!" Sue yelled, waking Dakota up.

"Sue? How did...what's true?" Dakota asked sleepily, rubbing her eyes.

"Dakota, you better get your ass out here and explain!" Hannah yelled from the kitchen, where she was making coffee. Dustin and Mario were talking to Calum in the living room, trying to figure out what they thought of him and if he was good enough for Dakota.

"Wait, what the hell, why is the whole squad here?" Dakota asked when she walked out of her bedroom with Sue.

"Get over here and show me your hand." Hannah demanded, and as soon as she said that, Dakota knew that they knew. She held her hand out to her and Hannah just started screaming.

"SO IT IS TRUE!" Hannah and Sue grabbed Dakota in a tight embrace and started jumping around.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I don't think all this jumping is good for the baby!" Calum said, making them all stop dead on their tracks. Dustin and Mario's jaws dropped as they looked at each other, and Dakota just looked at him, wide-eyed, while Hannah and Sue backed away from her.

"Can you repeat that for me, Calum?" Hannah said as she narrowed her eyes at Dakota. Before Calum could open his mouth again, Dakota walked over to his side.
