Remus' POV

"I'm not sure about this," I sighed as Peter brushed off my sleeves.

"Trust me," He grinned. "I'm an expert."

"Have you ever even had a girlfriend before?" Sirius scoffed.

"Unlike you," Peter glared, "I'm waiting for the perfect woman."

"Perfect is such a degrading word," Sirius huffed.

"No it isn't," James shrieked. "Lily is perfect!"

"What was that, Potter?" Lily Evans snapped from across the common room.

"Nothing dearest," James trilled.

"Don't call me dearest!"

"Anyway," Peter continued, "Brenna won't be able to resist Moony is a suit."

"Going out to a fancy diner so overrated," Sirius groaned.

"She loves food," I shrugged. When I kissed her last night and she didn't reject me, I sent her an owl this morning to ask her on a date.

"Don't all girls?" James snickered.

"I hope she's alright with that," I sighed. Our last (unofficial) date had been a picnic and before that I'd taken her to the Tree Broomsticks for butter beer.

"She'll love it," Peter encouraged.

Brenna's POV

"Sydney, I ate way too much," I groaned.

"Cross your fingers Remus doesn't take you out for dinner," She laughed.

"Shhhhh.... I can't think about food right now."

Sydney snorted and pulled me to my feet.

"Come on, you need to get ready."

I followed her into the girls dorm room and dressed quickly, throwing on a long red dress that swept the ground lightly. Sydney then proceeded to curl my hair and pin it up, leaving a few pieces to frame my face. I stepped back and eyed myself in the mirrior.

"I feel stupid... again."

"Oh, not this again," Sydney huffed. "We've been through this."

"I can't help it!"

"Try to!"

I huffed and pulled up the strapless dress irritably. "He should be here soon. I'm going to go wait outside."

I stood outside my common room and waved at Sydney as she went back to hers, holding back a shudder. For some reason, I felt nervous. I faced the entrance to the common room and took a deep breath, attempting to calm myself down.

"Hey," someone greeted coolly from behind me. I bristled and turned on the balls of my feet to find Remus standing there is a tux. He looked clean cut, save for his wild hair, which remained untouched from its natural appearance. I had to clench my teeth to keep my jaw from dropping open.

"Remus, you look..."

He laughed nervously as I stared at him and he looked down at his suit. "Yeah, I know it's silly."

"Hot," I finished. "Holy Merlin, I did not just say that out load."

"I think you did," He chuckled, his ears turning red.

"Uh," I flushed and cleared my throat, "Where to?"

"Are you hungry?" He asked. I froze and plastered on a fake smile.

"Um..."

"Good," He smiled, "I'm not either. I have something better in mind. Follow me."

He took my hand and led me through the complicated inner workings of the castle, laughing and snickering as we dodged teachers and prefects.

"Where are we going?" I whispered as we darted past Professor Flitwick, the head of the Ravenclaw house.

"Somewhere special," Remus replied vaguely and pulled me down a dark corridor. He stopped in front of an abandoned looking classroom and pulled out his wand.

"Alohomora," He whispered and the lock clicked. We stepped inside the pitch black room and I stumbled on the legs of the desks. Remus wrapped an arm around my waist to steady me and I thanked Merlin that the lights weren't on. I was blushing a deep red.

With a flick of his wand, Remus had lit a candle and one after the other the entire room followed in suit. Hundreds of flickering candles floated and bobbed on an invisible wave about out heads.

"Oh. My. Gosh."

"Neat, right?" Remus grinned. All I could do was nod as I gaped at the beautiful lights. Remus fell back into a huge leather armchair, coughing as he stirred up the dust, and patted the seat next to him. I hiked up my skirts and plopped down by his side, nearly flinching as he put his arm around me. He must have noticed because he frowned down at me.

"I- is this alright?" He stammered.

"Y- yeah."

To break the awkward silence that was accumulating, Remus stared telling cheesy jokes.

"How many slytherins does it take to screw a light bulb?" He snickered

"I don't know," I giggled.

"5.1 to screw the light bulb and 4 to say with their fathers connection at the ministry they could screw it faster."

I clapped, holding back a laugh. "I got one. What do you get when you cross a Ravenclaw with the infirmary?"

"What?"

"Ill-literacy," I snorted.

"You're a dork," Remus chuckled.

"Why thank you," I grinned.

"I have one more for you," Remus smiled. "How many normal Seekers does it take to change a lightbulb?"

"Oh no."

"One, but he gets a hundred and fifty points for it."

"Please tell that one to James," I laughed.

"Will do," He nodded. I tried to stifle a you but failed and layed my head on Remus' shoulder. He smiled and plucked each pin out of my raven black hair and let it fall around me in a wave of curls.

Within minutes, I was fast asleep with his arm wrapped around me.

Remus' POV

I stroked her hair rhythmically as she snored softly on my shoulder. She'd fallen asleep before I could ask her about us. I still wasn't sure what we were yet, but even if it was never defined, as long as it stayed the way it was I would be happy.

I flicked my wand again and the candles slowly burnt out, leaving us in darkness. I rested my head on top of hers, careful not to wake her, and let the sound of her breathing lull me to sleep.

I did not come up with any of the jokes in this chapter, I totally googled them. I'm not that clever.
