Y/n, Robby, and Sam practiced on the deck. They barely even fell since they had gotten on. All of them were proud of themselves and each other. Now they just hoped they'd get to see their work pay off.

"Uh, hey, are we doing shirts versus skins? Cause I prefer to be a shirt. Not saying you have to be a skin! U-Unless you want to! I support your right to choose!" Demetri stammered as he mainly looked over at Y/n. His stammering made y/n chuckle.

"Demetri over here!" Daniel called.
Demetri walked away from where he was and walked over to Daniel. "Hey, Mr. L, before we begin..." Demetri reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. "What's-" -Daniel began- "It's a note from my mom excusing me from any extensive arm and leg movements. So, uh, if there's an alternative lesson I could do...maybe a workbook?"Demetri explained.

"Show me, sand the floor" Daniel ordered. "You want me to sand it again? It's pretty smooth" Demetri whined. "No, no, not actually...the movement! Show me the movement." Daniel said. Demetri nodded and got into a not-so-good stance with his hands wide open. "You ready?" Daniel asked as he got into his stance. Demetri nodded again.

Daniel kicked and thought he'd be blocked but Demetri did nothing "you kicked me!" Demetri exclaimed. "Why didn't you block, Demetri? You know this. This is the muscle memory!" Daniel said. "In case you haven't noticed, I don't have muscles" Demetri replied. "Do you want to be here, Demetri?" Daniel asked.

"Not really." The lanky boy responded honestly. Y/n stopped moving turning her head over to Demetri and Daniel. Sam and Robby did the same. "Then why are you here?" Daniel asked.

"My whole life I've been...let's just say, less than popular. But at least I had a few friends. And then Cobra Kai comes to town, and next thing I know, my friends are taking karate and becoming Alpha Jerks. I'm literally being threatened by my best friend. I just wanted to show that I could fight back."

Daniel nodded understandingly "look I understand what you're going through. I do. But Miyagi-Do isn't about showing off. It's about—"

"Self-defense...I know. Problem is, my self is too weak" Demetrio finished speaking.

"Hey guys, I uh think we'll end class now. You've been working hard." Daniel said walking off the deck "go hang out or something maybe get to know Demetri" Daniel patted Demetri's shoulder.  He gave him a sympathetic smile before walking off.

The three teens got out of the water.
"How does the mall sound?" Sam asked.
"I think it sounds pretty good"

The four arrived at the mall. Demetri and Y/n walked alongside each other as Robby and Sam teased them finally learning they were together. "Oh, how sweet you are Demetri" Robby made his voice high-pitched. "Only for you Y/n" Sam attempted to sound like Demetri but failed.

Y/n and Demetri said as they turned their heads to the brown-haired teens. Robby and Sam laughed in unison "they even have the same thoughts!" Robby exclaimed. "Very funny. Anyways, I heard the art store had some good deals so I'm gonna check that out" Y/n informed. "Okay, we'll be in the food court. We're starving" Sam replied. "Want anything?" Robby asked. "Yeah get me (food choice)" Y/n said. Sam nodded before heading to the food court with Robby and Demetri.

Y/n went to the art store and was mesmerized by all the new stuff they had put up. Instantly she began looking at all the stuff. As she looked through some sketchbooks some guy came up beside her looking at some pencils. "I'm telling you these stupid pencils cost too much. I don't get why my sister likes them" one of them complained. Their conversation went quiet. She could feel their gaze on her. She looked up and caught them staring at her. They weren't even trying to hide it. One had an orange short sleeve shirt and short black hair while the other had shoulder-length light brown hair and wore a white long sleeve shirt.
