You were sat in your room of the compound, scared for your life. Not because you think someone's trying to hunt you down and kill you, but because of the thunderstorm outside. You have been scared of the thunderstorm ever since you were little. You hugged your legs to your chest as you contemplated waking up Natasha, your girlfriend, to comfort you. As another thunder crashed, you squealed slightly and covered your ears, cold sweat running down your back. You always wondered how it was possible for people to sleep during times like this.

After a few minutes of repeating the same actions, you sighed and decided to wake her up. As you made your way to Natasha's room, you were trembling, both from the thunderstorm and from her possibly waking up angry.

Before you knew it, you were standing outside of her room. You took a deep breath as you stared at the red Black Widow logo on her door. Without knocking, you walked in to her sleeping peacefully. You braced yourself for the worst as you tried to wake her up.

"Nat... Natasha, Natasha!" You whispered as you shook her sleeping figure slightly. "What?" She mumbled as she tried to open her eyes to look at you in the dark. As you saw her tired look, you immediately felt the guilt eating you up from inside out.

Natasha turned on her bedside lamp as she sat up, glancing at your trembling figure. "Y/n, what happened? Are you scared?" She asked with her croaky voice. You said nothing as you nodded your head in shame.

"Get over here," she spread open her arms as you jumped into them without hesitation. "Lay over here," she patted on the empty space beside her after awhile. She turned off the bedside lamp after you've settled in comfortably beside her. She wrapped her arms around you and pecked your cheek softly. "You're safe now, with me," she whispered. You smiled at her, falling asleep not long after, in her soft yet tight embrace.
