You always loved dogs. Speaking honestly, you've never had a pet before, even though you've always really wanted a dog. When you were younger, your parents never allowed pets in the house, not until you started dating Carol and moved out to live with her.
You and Carol have never ever had a talk about getting a pet before, not until you started noticing your friends having pets. Ever since Natasha got her cat, you've been thinking about getting a dog for yourself.
"Carol, what do you think of dogs?" You asked your girlfriend one day. "I love dogs!" Carol replied happily. You never knew Carol had always been into dogs, in fact, you never knew Carol was into animals, even though she showed it pretty obvious.
"Great! We should get one," you smiled as you gave her a small kiss on her forehead before laying back in bed. "I'm not opposing to that, but where did you get that from?" She giggled.
"I mean... Natasha. She has a cat now, Steve has a dog, Wanda has a bird... everybody has pets except us," you pouted playfully as you sat up, arms crossed whilst she just giggled.

In a matter of an hour, you and Carol were at the nearest dog shelter, looking through all the different breeds. Though you didn't have any type that you loved, your eyes settled on golden retriever puppies whilst Carol had her eyes on the chihuahuas.
The two of you first entered the golden retrievers pen and started playing with some of the dogs.

After playing with the two different breeds of dogs, you and Carol decided to adopt a golden retriever puppy and named her Harley.
