You were always good at fencing, and you know it. You constantly went to fencing studios and had friendly competitions with other people there. Today was no different.
As you entered the studio, there was only one other person there with you. You put your things down and walked to them. "So, you wanna battle?" The person turned to you and smirked in their gear as they took off their helmet.
"Yeah sure, I'm Y/n Y/l/n, and you?" You looked at the gorgeous girl in front of you. "Kate Bishop," she replied, smiling and shaking your hand.
After a round of competition, which you won, the two of you decided to have a break.
"You're great at this," Kate panted, smiling at you. "Thanks."
"Are you into archery? We can go to an archery range someday," she continued. That was when you realized you had so much in common with her. "Sure! I love archery," you smiled, taking a sip of water.
She fished out her phone whilst you looked at her in confusion. "Here, put your number, so we can schedule a date," she smiled as she emphasized the word 'date', passing you her phone. You smirked as you typed in your number, was she flirting or just being friends? You really can't tell.
After finishing up ten other matches, the both of you decided to call it a day, walking out of the fencing studio together.
"So uh, guess I'll see you around," Kate smiled as she went her way. You nodded back at her, grinning.

A few days later, you received a text message from an unknown number.
???: Hey Y/n! :)
???: It's me, Kate Bishop :)
You smiled looking at the name.
Y/n: Hey! I'm free literally everyday, in case you're wondering :)
Kate: Great! This Friday then?
Y/n: Of course! See ya :)
Little did you know, you were right, it was a date.
