I woke up shaking. I looked over to the bed and found Alexei lying there. He hadn't left me alone since I came back. Inessa would get chased away whenever she entered the room while I was sleeping.

I felt weird every single time he rushed to my side. He would stare at my face for a long time and rarely touch me, like I was the most fragile thing ever.

The next second, Alexei was beside me, verifying if I was ok. "What's wrong?" I breathed heavily and chased a small part of his hair away from his face. His body relaxed and sat at my feet. I stood up, sitting on the couch with crossed legs.

"You don't have to stay with me every night. You should get sleep." He frowned. "Why? Am I bothering you?" His voice was slightly shaking when he said the last word. I pressed his hand in mine. "No, it's just..."

He stared at my lips and he tilted my head up when I looked down. "Just what?"

I couldn't tear my eyes from his face. His perfect jaw. His pointed nose. His rosy cheeks. His eyes. His hypnotizing grey eyes. Like Matteo's and the boys.

"You barely sleep or relax when I'm here and you have work to do in the morning." His eyes softened. "You don't need to worry about me. And I wanted to ask something."

I quirked my eyebrows up. "What is it?" He waited a second. "What would cheer you up the most?" My lips formed into a smile. Matthew and Nikolai. I would do anything for them to be with me. "Nikolai and Matthew."

He smiled at my answer. "You wouldn't mind them here, with all the weapons and mafia stuff." I thought about it. I was being selfish. I of course didn't want them in danger. Then, I found an answer to the question.

"They would still be in danger at the house or here either way because of me. I think that with me, they would be in better security. They wouldn't leave with anyone I didn't trust." He smiled and his dimples showed.

He reminds me so much of the boys.

He kissed me softly. Before I could kiss back, he leaned back. He gave me a cheeky smile and I look away. His smile was heart-warming. I press my forehead to his. "Would you like to move your room?" I frowned.

"What do you mean?" He grinned. "Move in my room. I would install a bigger couch. You could have your side of the room and I would still be there when you need me."

I was blinking widely at him and kissed his cheek. I would've accepted if it wasn't for the amount of nights I kept screaming in my sleep. "I'll think about it." He nodded and his arms snaked around my waist. He pulled me forward to him.

"You are gorgeous."

He grabbed my cheek and breathed me in.  I played with his hair as his nose caressed my cheek.  Then he stood up.  "I need to go do something."

I nodded and kissed his soft lips.  I waved goodbye and found the opportunity to go train.  I need to get in shape.  Next time...

There won't be a next time.  If I train enough.  That's why I sneak downstairs toward the training room.  I sighed when I lifted the gun.  I started shooting the target and my body relaxed.  I felt someone behind me.

I turned around.  Inessa and her husband were staring at me.  "Nu ar trebui să te odihnești? (Aren't you supposed to be resting)?" It was her husband.  Like he cared.  I rolled my eyes and put the gun down.

"Parca îți pasa. (Like you care)."  He grinned.  "English please." Inessa begged.  I chuckled and wrapped my arms around her.  She smiled.  "Thanks to my brother, I couldn't see you at all.  Anyway, weren't you supposed to cut off training for a few weeks?"
