February 2013

I was crying at two small faces in my arms.  Matteo was by my side and observed them quietly.  "Cum le vei numi? (What are you going to name them)?"  I smiled.

I wanted something traditional and untraditional.  "Matthew and Nikolai."  I pointed to the one that had a small birth mark on the cheek and spoke.  "This is Matthew."  Then, I pointed to the other one.  "And that's Nikolai."

He chuckled and kissed my forehead and then the boys.  "I will take care of you with my life." I said with an accent.

I woke up in his arms. He was so calm. I turned spring to face him and played with a strand of his hair. I kissed his forehead before I heard a knock at the door. Alexei woke up and stared at the door. "I'll go change in the bathroom."

I went inside and closed the door. I heard the bedroom door open. "Roman, chto ty zdes' delayesh'? (Roman, what are you doing here)?" I heard Roman's name and assumed they were just talking about something important.

"Andreea zdes' (Is Andreea here)?"  I heard my name and started to lean closer to the door.  "Yes, she's in the bathroom.  Why?"  I got out of the bathroom and looked at both of them.  "I need to speak with you Andreea."

I nodded and got out of the room, following Roman.  He stopped at one moment and spun around.  "We need to talk."  I felt nervous and played with my fingers.  "About what?"

He leaned in on the balcony.  "About Alexei."  My body stopped tensing and I turned to face him better.  "You need to stop doing this."  I frowned.  "What are you talking about?"

He kept his sharp gaze on me.  He also had grey eyes.  Like Alexei's.  "He always absents himself from his job for you.  Spends the money and takes care of things that are supposed to be your job."

I clenched my jaw.  "My job?" I replied with a hint of agression.  "Okay, sorry, your mother responsibility.  Anyway, thank you for saving him at the mall.  But that doesn't mean your are worth all his time."

I didn't reply.  I simply walked away.  Not to Alexei's room, but mine.  He had moved it right next to mine.  I entered and sat on the couch, thinking.  Was I really wasting Alexei's time?

It wasn't impossible.  I had taken so much of his sleep, his time and energy.  When Alexei called for me, I simply said I was meeting up with Inessa.  Which wasn't really true but not totally false.

She wanted to do something together.  I never found the time but now we would.  "What do you want to do?"  I smirked as something popped in my brain.  "What if we sneak inside the training room?"  She grinned.

We were all changed and she was showing me a plan of the whole building.  "Ok, so this part is where we need to land.  So we have to find a vent that intertwines with this one, then this one." She said dragging her finger in three different spots.

I found the perfect place.  I showed the vent near the downwards vents.  "Yea but we have to get in Alexei's room to go there."  I frowned.  "Maybe he's in a meeting?"  She looked at me suspiciously.

"I know what happened with Roman."  I sat on the bed and crossed my arms.  "It's nothing."  She grabbed my chin, making me stare into her brown eyes.

"Is that why you've been ignoring him since then?"  I narrowed my eyes at her grin.  "Did he tell you?"  She shook her head.  "Anyway, yea maybe he is in a meeting.  Let's go now if we don't want to get caught."

We started walking quickly to his room and verified no one was there.  I entered the room, inspecting it and found no sign of Alexei.  "Come in."  I whispered to Inessa.  She entered with a small thud.
