Taehyung had tried to convince and remind himself of some things before deciding to walk inside the castle. He was also aware of the fact that he couldn't do it alone.

He walked inside, thinking that it was a good thing that he was late and others would probably be sleeping.

But then he saw someone.

Not losing composure, controlling his emotions seemed almost impossible in front of Namjoon who was out to take a walk.

But Taehyung knew he couldn't act on impulse, not with the amount of anger he had for Namjoon, impossible to subdue anytime soon. Namjoon could manipulate him at a time like this.

Taehyung put his hands at his back and smiled faintly.

"Where have you been?" Namjoon asked.

Taehyung tried to focus his attention away from the ways he can revenge Namjoon but it was so difficult that even Namjoon saw the change.

"Are you alright? Did you eat?" Namjoon tried to sound thoughtful.

Taehyung noticed some hesitation in Namjoon's voice as if something concerned him or scared him.

"I did. I was drawing portraits for some of the locals and realized how much time went by only after it got tiring," he tried to sound convincing, "And I'm not hungry. I think I will just go and sleep."

Namjoon was watching him carefully, wondering if something had changed. Taehyung was sure he had done his best to leave no chance for further suspicion.

"Ok," Namjoon smiled.

Taehyung saw that smile and thought how different it was from Namjoon. He could only wonder how cunning and careful Namjoon was to not go wrong with a single thing that could create suspicion.

"Vante"

Taehyung realized he was just standing there.

"I'll go now," he said and left without smiling back or waiting for Namjoon's response.

He knew Namjoon was trying to gain his trust and it might have been easier for him to play Namjoon by pretending he trusted Namjoon back. But Taehyung never went that far, he couldn't bring himself to do it. He preferred to be true with whatever he felt so that kind of act seemed way too insensitive and awful no matter who the other person was.

But framing a few things to avoid suspicion, to avoid dragging Seokjin into trouble seemed like a thing he could manage till he came up with a way to solve things.

He didn't go to his room but decided to just walk around for a bit.

When was he was near the undercroft, he felt like he heard something. Knowing who it might be, he went inside.

Jimin looked up and smiled when he guessed that it was Taehyung.

Looking at Jimin's glossy eyes and sweeping wave, Taehyung realized that he was drunk.

He walked to Jimin, "Why are you alone and so far from your room when you know you get drunk so easily?"

Jimin took another sip from his glass.

Taehyung sighed and sat on the chair opposite Jimin, "Now that you have me to count on, you take another sip? What if I leave, would you be able to walk to your room?"

"I... I c-can. You kn- know it. It... it's youu that inn... sistss... Anyy w-wayyy, gott stay aw... awake. Tell mee summore b-bout cookies"

"You with me?"

"Yzz" Jimin grinned, "Vaan Taee izz a gooood boyy Hyungg!"

Taehyung was surprised. He looked at the bottle, "What kind of drink is it that, that makes you sound like you lost your mind?"
