Cindy left the deck for a moment as she wanted to leave some privacy for Lloyd as she saw tears in his eyes.
She waited outside for a good moment, that is up until Lloyd came into her sight, holding the bloodied rifle on his now bloodied right hand, while on the left an odd red emblem of sorts, though covered in blood as well.
Cindy: L-Lloyd... are you alright now...? What is that...?
She simply asked shyly.
Lloyd: An emblem, it'll help to get us out of here.
He responded in a concerning nonchalant manner.
Cindy: H-how is gonna emblem gonna do something...?
Lloyd: Its used to close down and open up the gates at the Front Gate Plaza...
Cindy: O-oh... i see...
Lloyd: C'mon... lets keep going... you hold the emblem.
He stated as he gave the emblem to her, she grabbed it. And soon quickly departed off to the Front Gate Plaza.
...
The main plaza was pretty spacious, the center had 2 big statue lions, and other spacious areas where divided by a small river, on the left side there was the one thing that would get them out of here, the cable car or tram, either way, the gate up ahead was closed down, but Lloyd knew the unconventional way to open it.
Upon walking further, unfortunately, encountered another corpse that was torn to half, guts and other internal parts from the human body all over the middle of the plaza, and several marks from paws that seemed to belong to a big animal... Lloyd went cold, not only from the sighting because of the person whom he seemed to know, but also from the animal responsible for their death.
Lloyd checked on the upper half of the body and the blood drenched jacket, and indeed, it was his former boss. Patrick Reyes...
Lloyd only exhaled deeply, and closed the eyes from his former boss.
Then noticed on Patrick's hand, it had the other emblem they needed, Lloyd grabbed it, the blue still visible despite all the blood it had on it.
Lloyd pointed Cindy's emblem to one of the 2 lion statues there was, she simply nodded, wanting to keep silent for Lloyd, nor that she was feeling to talk right now.
Going to the left lion, it had an red eye and an identation on the base, looking back at the emblem she now understood what Lloyd meant, slightly amazed. After that she set the emblem in it, Lloyd setting it as well at the same time.
The gates loudly opened, finally, the exit.
That is until they heard a roar, and their blood ran cold.
Soon a lion was in view at the top of the dome of a nearby zoo building, and it quickly dropped down, slowly grooming over, as parts of its face and stomach where missing, exposing a lot of bleeding flesh and bones, and one of its eyes where missing.
Cindy walked back as Lloyd advised her to stay behind him.
They both walked back as Lloyd has his rifle aimed up at the head of the lion as it slowly walked towards them with a terrifying stare.
Then Lloyd fired first into the head, the undead lion received the impact, but it only roared more loudly, as it ran towards them.
Lloyd quickly pushed Cindy out of the way as he dodged himself the lion's attack at clawing him open.
