Two days had gone by and I had done nothing but mope around. I knew I was depressing to be around, so I chose to hide in my room as to not disturb their meetup because even though Karl was gone, this was all of their first "big" meetup and I didn't want to darken their memories from this trip.

Don't get me wrong, I had not been hiding in my room for two days, crying or some shit. I just spent the majority of my time there, nothing too drastic. And it wasn't as if I were completely alone. I still cooked dinner yesterday and texted Vera. Also, Alex, Sapnap, and Dream occasionally popped into my room to ask if I was okay, making me believe that hiding in here wasn't working the way I wanted it to work.

Perhaps hanging out with them and trying to seem joyful would work better. So that is what I did. Two days after Karl had left I decided that I would not be closing myself in my room anymore.

I put on a skirt that reached below my knees, a red top that matched one of the patterns on it, some light jewelry, and makeup with red lips to go with the outfit.

I walked down the stairs and decided that I would start off my return to the real world very slowly by just sitting on the couch while the others were scattered across the house. I think Bad and Skeppy were doing something by themselves while the rest of the boys hung out elsewhere. I found it weird that none of them was in the living room.

Eventually, I grew bored of just sitting there while scrolling through Twitter so I decided I would bake something. I don't know how to bake so it could as well have turned out horribly.

I searched up a recipe for apple pie because we had a suspicious amount of apples in the fridge. When did they buy all of these? It must've been while I was locked up in my room.

"Hey, what are you making?" Alex's voice almost made me jump out of my skin.

"Uh, just some apple pie. Wanna help me out? I don't know how to bake," I admitted and he grinned.

"Well, you're in luck, because I'm an awesome baker. The best actually," he boasted and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

"Of course you are," I smiled sarcastically.

"What? No, I'm serious, I'm actually really good," Alex defended himself. He actually seemed so offended that I began doubting my quick judgment.

"For real?" I asked.

"Yeah!" He exclaimed with a chuckle and threw his arms out.

"Okay then, help me make this pie. Because I've never made one before," I repeated my previous question, but I put it as a demand this time.

"Sure," Alex laughed and walked over to me. "So what kind of pie are we making exactly?" He smiled.

"Uh..." I stammered.

"You have no idea, do you?" He guessed with a giddy grin and I sighed.

"No."

"Well, then I decided that we're making a one-crust apple pie because those are the easiest to make," Alex nodded confidently and I just furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"There are different types of crust..?" I had my lips parted as I tried to wrap my head around this new information.

"I see we have a long way to go," Alex faked a sigh but smiled wide when I couldn't see him. 'Karl leaving may have been a good thing after all' he thought as he looked at me as I searched for a recipe on my phone.

"So what do we do now?" I frowned as I stared at the pie in the oven with my arms crossed. The sun was setting and both Dream and Sapnap had poked their heads in the kitchen asking about the smell.
