It's been a few days since Zoey and I have been sort of texting. Today, I got paired up with a partner in my photography class. We're meant to take our own personal style of pictures and figure out a way to make them compliment or relate to each other.

"I guess we're partners." A dark haired boy took a seat next to me, with a smile.

I smiled back. "I guess so."

"I'm Colby."

"Alison." I replied while shaking his hand.

"I know. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to sound creepy or anything, but I really like the photos you bring into class. Naturally, I remembered your name."

I laughed. "Thanks, I like a lot of yours too."

He playfully narrowed his eyes at me. "So, there's some you don't like then?"

I froze up not knowing what to say.

Colby nudged me and smiled. "I'm just messing with you. I think a lot of my works could've been better honestly, but hey we're all learning right?"

"Oh, yeah." I nodded.

"Hey, if you don't mind.... I know we can take our pictures separately, but I'd like to see your process. How about we go take some together?"

"Sure, sounds great!" I smiled.

"Alright, are you busy after class?"

"Not at all."

"Awesome. Mind if we go out after class?" His eyes widened. "I mean- I'm not asking you out- Not like that- I mean don't get me wrong I'd love to get to know you- I just- you know- for the project?"

I laughed at his embarrassment. His face is so red, how cute. "It's fine. Calm down, I get it."

He smiled in relief. "Okay, cool."

Once classes were over we met up at the entrance. Having left our school stuff in our cars, we began walking around with our cameras. Luckily, our university was very close to town, so it wasn't an issue.

"So, I say we start our adventure off with some ice-cream. What do you think?" He asked.

"Sounds good." I smiled.

"Awesome, because I could go for a snack right now."

I laughed.

Once we arrived at the ice-cream shop we placed our orders, and as much as I tried to beg Colby not to pay for me, he still did.

"Cheers." He said as he held out his cone to me.

I smiled and brought my cone to his. "Cheers."

"So, I have a place in mind for my picture at least if you want to check it out? It isn't too far from here, plus there's some other cool areas along the way."

"Yeah, let' go."

Durning our walk we began making small conversations to get to know eachother.

"Do you have any siblings?" He asked.

"No, I'm an only child. What about you?"

"Yeah, I have a sister, but she comes and goes a lot unfortunately."

I could tell it was a touchy subject, so I didn't bother asking more about it. "You're living in the dorms, right? How's that going?"

He shook his head and let out a chuckle. "It's crazy. My roommate is such a party person, but luckily my parents live close enough, that if it's too crazy I can always just crash with them."
