It's been a year since Zoey and I have officially began dating. Everything has been amazing for us since then.
We've gone on countless dates where I made it my personal goal to make Zoey blush. It's actually something I've kept track of. The highest amount I managed to make her blush was when we first 'Netflix and chilled', she was a gorgeous mess then. Since then, I would tease her by asking if she wanted to Netflix and chill, to which she'd agree and blush. I'd actually end up only watching Netflix much to her annoyance, however, there were definitely times where she'd take over and get her way. I never complained.
We are still great friends with Colby and Nikoda. In fact, they ended up finding partners of their own as well.
I finally graduated from university and started my own photography business. It's been going astonishingly well, despite having just graduated.
Throughout living together and being around eachother a lot, we've never gotten bored of one another. I was definitely right about her being a cuddle bug when we first met, it's her favorite thing to do.
We've had a few stupid fights here and there, what couple doesn't? However, we made it a rule to always sleep in the same bed together, even if we were mad at eachother. We both agreed to the idea, having the smallest fear that Zoey would disappear again in the back of our minds. Even though, we both had the feeling that she was here to stay. That rule actually saves us from most of our fights. One of us always gets the urge to hold onto the other, which leads the other to cave in. We both apologize and end up falling asleep in eachothers arms.
Zoey, eventually got a job at our local animal shelter. Which, led to her wanting to bring every animal home. Of course, our apartment didn't allow pets. So, here we are, on the floor packing everything up to move.
"Man, I'm really going to miss this place." Zoey said.
I hummed. "Lots of memories."
I watched as she bit her lip, looking around the box filled room. "Hey, don't bite what's mine."
She looked at me with a smirk. "Oh, yeah?" She began sensually crawling over to me. "Remind me what's yours again?" She whispered, her lips inches away from mine.
"Gladly." I brought her lips to mine.
Right after moving into our new home, Zoey waisted no time in dragging me to the animal shelter.
I laughed at her eagerness. "Babe, we don't even have any supplies yet."
Zoey turned to me with a blush. The nickname always manages to make her blush. "W-we can go to the pet store after!" She dragged me once again over to the puppies.
I knew, she knew the exact one she wanted.
"Can we get this one? Please!" She pouted, holding an adorable puppy in her arms.
The puppy's tail was wagging like crazy and she began licking Zoey's face.
"I don't know. I'm getting jealous." I teased.
Zoey rolled her eyes and held the puppy out to me. The little fluff ball began licking my face as well.
"Alright, fine." I feigned annoyance.
"Yay! I love you!" Zoey happily pecked my cheek.
"Welcome to the family, little one. Only one rule, I'm the only one allowed to give Zoey kisses."
I smirked when Zoey began swatting my arm. "Ali, stop! There's people around!" She whined.
Once we got home, we sat in the living room setting up the puppy stuff. We decided to name the new addition Bella. As Zoey and I were setting up her stuff, Bella came running to us at full speed with something in her mouth.
"Woah, hey!" I quickly grabbed it, and Bella ran off again.
"What is it?" Zoey asked.
"An envelope?"
It was sealed with a stamp, that wasn't broken. I looked around it, but couldn't find any indication as to what it was other than have Zoey's and my name on it.
"Did we just get that in the mail? Or did we bring it with us?" Zoey asked.
"I'm not sure, I don't remember seeing this before." I said as I broke the seal and began reading the paper.
There are times when people come into this world without a soulmate. Therefore, we grand them with one. However, it is still up to the two lovers to decide whether or not to come together. We are all very glad things have worked out for the two of you. May your days continue to be filled with love.
Sincerely, your love angel.
After I finished reading the letter out loud, it began disappearing into thin air.
"Wha- You saw what I did right?" I asked Zoey.
She nodded.
"Huh. Guess you weren't a ghost after all."
Zoey punched me. "I told you."
I smiled. "Turns out you were a blessing sent to me this whole time."
She glanced at my lips and hummed. Just as we were about to kiss a bark interrupted us.
"Now this won't do. You hear me Bella?" I said as I picked the little girl up. "I refuse to be coc- Ow! Why'd you hit me?" I questioned Zoey.
"Do not finish that sentence in front of our fur baby!" She said taking Bella from me and walking away.
My eyes widened. "Shit! Zoey, we forgot a crate! Or play pen! Literally anything to contain her as we-!"
"Oh my God! Alison, stop!" Zoey shrieked in embarrassment.
I smirked. I'm going to go buy a crate.
