We had been working tirelessly together ,straight through the afternoon, to get a solid marketing plan proposal ready. It was nice finally getting to actually work on the marketing of the company rather than just doing the basic introductory paperwork and tour stuff we had yesterday. I was more than impressed with Ms. West's vast knowledge of pretty much every topic we had covered in our planning today and it was pretty clear how involved in the company she was.
So if she's so involved with everything why is she spending the entire afternoon helping an intern put together a single marketing program?
My thoughts were interrupted rather abruptly by the sound of her voice "My goodness, It's already eight!"
I looked out the windows and saw that the sun was nearly completely set "Wow we really lost track of time I guess."
Ms. West nodded and stood up from the couch "Well I'm starved and I feel terrible for keeping you so late, any chance you'd care to join me for dinner?"
Dinner with Parker West? Fuck yeah.
"I'd love to." I smiled back at her
She nodded and quickly went over to her desk retrieving a few items before looking back over at me "Ready Ms. Bardot?"
I nodded and half ran over to the desk to pack up my computer and notebook into my bag. I could feel her gaze on me now and I swear that if I turned around I would catch her ogling my ass. As I stood to sling my bag onto my shoulder I turned to find her already headed toward the door, and so, without a word I followed after her.
"How do you feel about Italian?" She questioned as we reached the elevator and she clicked the call button
I smiled "Pretty great considering that I'm Italian."
"Ah, are you now?" She questioned with a smirk "I'm primarily Latina, my grandparents on my moms side were originally from Puerto Rico but I gave a little bit of Italian on my dads side as well."
Well damn did you get the best of genetics from both sides.
"That's really cool, have you been to Puerto Rico?" I questioned.
She nodded, "Three times actually."
Ding!
We both stepped inside and I nervously played with the straps of my backpack as she clicked the third floor button.
"Also I wanted to say that you did amazing work today, especially considering that it's only your second day here." Ms. West stated smiling ever so slightly as she looked over at me
"Thank you." I nodded awkwardly
She raised an eyebrow at me "So do you think we're prepared to present our idea at the meeting on Monday?"
I nodded "Yeah I would say so."
"You nod your head a lot when you're nervous." She observed aloud
"Um," I tried my best not to move my head in light of what had just been said "yeah I guess I do."
"Is there a reason?" She questioned
I shrugged "Im not sure, is there a specific reason why you often decide against saying what you want to say to me?"
Now this caused her to give me a look I had yet to see from her that seemed like a mixture of a million emotions.
Ding!
