Parker leaned over, placing her hands on my thighs and sending a chill up my spine.
"I want you so bad Harper." She whispered huskily into my ear before kissing down my neck
I tried to speak but nothing would come out as she started to gently pull up my shirt. I lifted my arms and she swiftly removed it before looking down at be with a lustful look in her eyes.
"Harper," she said in a low voice "wake up."
I nearly hit heads with Parker as I sat up and looked around realizing I must have fallen asleep in her living room. As I took in my surroundings I realized light was now streaming in through the windows meaning I had spent the night.
I looked over at her and she had a distant look in her eyes "We fell asleep."
"Yeah sorry about that." I mumbled out lamely
She shrugged "No problem, I need to get going though, so you do too since you're basically not leaving my sight until everything gets figured out."
"I thought I was staying in whatever it is that the dorms are." I replied
She nodded "You're supposed to be but obviously we both passed out last night. There's security on those floors so I'll still have eyes on you, just not mine."
"I'm surprised you want other peoples eyes on me." I replied before I had fully thought through what I was saying
She was frozen a second before she stood up and went over towards her bed "Let's pick out our outfits for the day."
Probably for the best she ignored that one.
We spent about twenty minutes getting ready and Parker had let me borrow one of her suits claiming it was necessary to look good for what we needed to do today. Once we were both dressed and had our hair and make up done we rushed into the elevator and took it down to her office floor, got off, then got back on to get down the parking garage.
As we walked past the receptionists they both gave me the same strange looks they often do when I come in and out of the building. I couldn't help but wonder why they always look at me like that, like they knew something I didn't. Once in the garage Parker unlocked her car and we both got inside.
"So where are we off to boss?" I questioned looking over at her
"The airport." She replied as she started up the car
I gave her a confused look "For what?"
"I have an important meeting in Dallas." She replied as we started pulling out of the spot
"Couldn't you just video conference or something?" I questioned
She gave me an unamused look "Do you not remember everything I told you yesterday?"
"Well, yeah of course I do." I replied rolling my eyes at her
I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone deciding I should probably text Luna and let her know I was going away on business with Parker for awhile. After only about a thirty minute drive we arrived at the airport where we were let in through a gate to park in what seemed like a reserved area. Once out of the car Parker half dragged me inside and through security before we arrived at a gate labeled "private" and walked through.
"Do you have like a private plane or something?" I questioned looking over at her
She nodded and we walked through a door and down some steps onto an air strip where two men in all black suits were standing outside a plane.
Holy fuck.
"Good morning boys." She stated nodding to them as we walked past and boarded the plane
Once inside I couldn't help but feel like I was in a dream. The seats were made of white leather and everything seemed so incredibly fancy by design.
"Take a seat." Parker said before walking up towards the front of the plane
I walked over and sat in one of the window seats looking out at the runway next to us.
A few minutes later Parker returned and sat across from me "We'll be taking off in a few moments."
"Sweet." I mumbled not bothering to look away from the window
"Everything okay?" She asked causing me to look over at her
"Yeah I'm sorry, everything's just been a lot." I shrugged
"Yeah I get it." She sighed "Unfortunately that's part of the lifestyle I lead."
"I mean it seems to have its perks too." I laughed waving to everything around us
She smiled and rolled her eyes "Yeah I suppose so."
A moment of silence passed before I spoke "So are we staying in Dallas overnight or are we flying back later?"
"Depends on what happens." She shrugged uninterestedly "Don't worry about classes by the way, I already had everything arranged."
"Oh, thank you." I smiled
A young woman in a stewardess uniform emerged from the back of the plane and walked over to us "Good Afternoon Ms. West, can I get you ladies anything?"
"Mimosas." Parker stated in an even tone
The girl nodded slightly and then disappeared to the back.
"You speak quite differently to everyone else than you do to me." I stated causing her to give me a curious look
"And you find that interesting I presume?" She countered
I shrugged "Slightly."
The young woman came back out with a bottle and two glasses she set on the table between us. She popped the cork and then poured some in each glass before setting the bottle down. She then went back and grabbed orange juice before topping off each glass and then leaving the orange juice as well.
"Is there anything else I can get for you?" she asked smiling at us
"No, thank you though." Parker nodded seeming genuine
"Yes, thank you." I added
"Of course, just call me if you need anything." the woman smiled at us before going to the back once more
"See that didn't kill you did it?" I teased
She glared back at me "All I said was thank you."
"Okay, okay let's calm down." I joked grabbing my glass "Let's cheers to something."
"Okay, to what?" She questioned
"I propose a cheers to you for overcoming so much and still doing everything you can to make a positive impact on the world, even if you are rude at times." I stated holding my glass in the air
She rolled her eyes "I'm not rude, but cheers."
We clinked glasses and both took a sip before settling in and preparing for take off.
