"And what exactly is going on here?" I hear her call making my head whip to her strutting figure. The wind picking up her pin straight locks, knocking them back away from her face. There was never a point that I could get use to her beauty. It was truly terrifying.
"Nothing," Abaddon quickly says releasing me from his grasp.
"Have you finally moved on, my poor man?" She teases her eyes glancing from me to him.
"I could never," he purrs, his eyes solely hers, hypnotized. I would feel pity for the man, if I did not relate.
Her smile is one of amusement. I study it, looking closely at the way her lips turn and her slanted eyes narrow. I searched for any trace of what Abaddon said was true and found nothing. Her eyes do not glow the way that most do but it truly looked as if she is amused.
Her eyes dance toward me and narrow. The suspicion in them evident but she does not word it. Too carefree to give a damn..or maybe..
"I have news," she sounds, breaking me from my investigation.
"News?" I breath, her gaze stealing my air.
"Yes, it seems the King of the underworld wants to make a deal," she pick at her nails, as if the news was nothing surprising at all.
"Make a deal?" I question, only to be ignored when Abaddon speaks.
"When?" He demands, his striking face now one of stone.
"In two days," she answers, stopping her movements and looking him in the eye.
"Where?" He fires back.
Her chilling giggle is one of excitement, "Home" she breaths with a smile.
"Lylith," his tone is that of a warning, only making her smile widen.
"I won't do anything... too bad," she winks.
"Lylith, you know the rules," his hand reaches for her, I swallow.
"It wouldn't be the first time I've broken some rules," she lets him take her hand, gazing at it curiously before turning to me. I flinch at the eye contact, hating how jealous I feel.
"You will also be coming," she does not ask, but the way her eyes drift across my face leads me to believe the choice is mine.
I nod asking, "I thought this was your home?"
Her head tilts, the secrets beneath her lashes shouting, "It is our home. But we are going to the original. The place I was reborn."
Our home? I blink at the words. Confused by the intensity in them.
"He's coming?" Abaddon asks, his eyes never straying from hers, as if she was the air he breathed.
Her eyes glance toward me, in silent approval before returning to his, "Yes, I am laying out my deck."
"While having more cards stuffed up your sleeve?" He asks, she only smiles.
He sighs, his hand coming to roughly rub against his face, "and what exactly will we be doing at this..discussion?"
"Eating, drinking..dancing," a wicked smile dancing on the edges of her lips.
