Chapter 5

Leo's POV: I woke up with a banging headache. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. When I look up I notice a cut in my cheek. Shit I didn't know it was there. I went out last night and maybe sorta kinda got into a fight. That's nothing new though it happens all the time. I touched my face and winced a little bit. When I finish up in the bedroom, I plopped down on the bed and Alex walks into my room. "Hey man you going to the party tomorrow?" "Shit I don't know there was one, but I'll go if you go" "Duh I'm going my girls gonna be there" "Your girl?" "Yeah Lila remember?" "Oh yeah I didn't know you two were official yet" "Yup". Tara's POV: Tomorrow theres another party, so me an the girls decided to go to the mall to find an outfit for tomorrow. We went to what felt like a million stores until we found the perfect outfits. When we got home I began getting ready to go get coffee and study with Jack. (Jack sits by me in my business communication class. ) I throw on some sweats and a hoodie and head out the door. When I get to the library I immediately spot Jack. "Hey over here" he ushered me over the where he was sitting. "How are you Tara?" "I'm good, you?" "I'm great". After we small talked for a bit, we started studying. I'm not sure why he insists that he needs help studying when he seems to have business communication down, but hey, whatever helps I guess. As we finish up and began towards the door, we run into to Leo and Alex. "Hey Leo. Hey Alex". "Hey" Leo said dryly and Alex kept his eyes on Jack. "So... fancy seeing y'all here huh?" "What are you doing with him?" Leo asked me, the tone of his voice was almost scary. "Not that it's any of your business, but we were studying, me and Jack have a class together and we have a test next week. " Leo dint reply. "Well if it's alright with you, Sargent Leo, I'm gonna go home. By myself." On the walk back to my apartment I was so confused. Why is he so jealous? Did something happen between them? Why didn't Jack defend himself? Why does Leo care? Questions continue to flood my head as I walk through the door of my apartment and to my bedroom. I decided that I'm gonna avoid the library. It seems like every time I go there something bad happens. I know I've only been twice, but spilling my coffee and catty drama is enough for me. I hop in the shower and relax under the warm water as I let my mind wonder. One thing and one thing only popped in my mind. Shit! I forgot to call my mom this week. When I finish up in the bathroom, I immediately call my mom. "Hey honey, how are you?" "I'm good mom, how are you and the kids?" "Oh we're doing just fine. Ella got all A's on her report card and Noah got all A's and B's." "Oh my god tell them I'm so proud of them!" "How's college going for you?" "It's good mom I'm having a great time with Lila and Alexa?"
"Met any boys yet???" "Oh my god mom." "What???" "If you must know, yes I met a boy, no we are not together, but I do like him." "I knewwww itttt. I'm so glad." "Mom!" My mom and I giggled and continued to talk for a hot minute. "Well I need to get to bed sweetie. I love you goodnight." "I love you too mom, night night." After I got off the phone with my mom, I made me some noodles and went to bed since tomorrow is going to be an eventful day. Little did I know, tomorrow was gonna be realllll eventful.
